Hahaha!", My voice suddenly yelled out in laughter. It began resound the cloaked airship. If one looked closely, a vermillion hue covered my irises. I currently had Vermillion Eyes turned on, and for a good reason.
We had just exited the military zone between the two countries, and now we were about one hour away from Roer. But that wasn't my reason for laughing.
A figure could be seen swerving around the airship itself. Despite being cloaked, the boy could still see it with his eyes. He had them active to ensure no other airship around would come into view.
After all, what I was currently doing could be seen as a miracle to others. On my body, or more specifically, my back, two large jet black wings protruded outward. Every so often they would flap, either allowing me to accelerate or slow down, depending on the location of our cloaked airship.
That's right. I was testing out one of the new abilities granted to me as a result of my job class leveling up. I was flying around the airship to my heart's content. It didn't take me long to get the hang of it. And if one looked closely, a faint blue aura currently wrapped around my body, as I had my mana active as well. Doing this allowed me to not get blasted away by the force of the wind, and the fluttering of my cloak reduced considerably as well.
Still, back on deck, Ennea watched on as she saw a violet-blood red haired boy swerving around in the air next to her. A worried look could be seen in her eyes as she spoke out to me.
"Young Master, we won't come back for you if you end up falling behind!", Ennea shouted. Hearing that, I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Heh, falling behind, eh?", I asked with a chuckle, which caused Ennea to blink. Ennea suddenly saw me vanish, only for me to swerve underneath the deck, doing a big circle around the airship. Yet as I looped around, I twisted my body. Crossing my legs, I reappeared right in front of Ines, with my head downward and crossed legs upward.
Yet my body now stood still in the air as I did this. Ines couldn't help but blink seeing me upside down like this, ignoring the wind around us.
"I don't think that's going to be a problem.", I answered, revealing a grin. As I said that, the small blue aura around my body continued to shine, as my EP constantly drained from doing this act.
"...This is that magic again isn't it?", Ines asked, seeing me in the air with my face upside down in front of her.
"Bingo~", I responded. "I'm using my wings to speed up and slow down, while applying magic to my body to reduce the wind resistance around me. As long as I have mana, I should be fine. We're only one hour away, right?", I asked.
"Yes. The pilot is going to do a drop off on the Reinford Building. It's the tallest building in Roer so it'll give us a good vantage point to see anyone coming in. Kreuger should still be inside the Reinford Building at most times, so who should be able to observe her as well. And with those eyes of yours, Young Master, spotting these assassins should be quick work.", Ennea said, nodding her head.
"Haha, that is true. These eyes do work wonders. And it'll be my first time meeting Kreuger like this. When we were on the Glorious, Kreuger was already on leave.", I said, only to fold my arms, ignoring the fact I was still upside down.
"Could you like, not do this?", Ines retorted me.
"Well I really shouldn't waste too much mana.", I retorted back, only to turn around again. My body was now upward. Yet as if reacting to Ines's words, one of the higher white clouds quickly passed by the airship, only for me to pass right through the cloud. I heard Ennea giggle in the background, but it was definitely a weird feeling flying through a cloud. It was like nothing was there.
A moment passed before I exited the cloud only to hear Ennea's voice again.
"Young Master, we'll be landing soon. You probably should get ready.", Ennea called out to me again.
"Got it.", I replied, only to flap my wings again. In one swoop, I landed back on the airship, only for me to cut off my mana, and retract my wings. I now felt the wind started to strike against me again. I could now see us descending into the clouds.
It didn't take long for us to re-enter a safe zone. The land below was now close to us. I leaned over the edge and saw a huge city with multiple floors in the distance. Unlike other cities, Roer's architecture was on par with Zeiss, if not even more. It was one of the wonders of the modern age.
But with my Vermillion Eyes still active, it basically acted as a large scope, putting a minimap into my mind. Further into the distance beyond Roer, I soon spotted several cloaked figures on this minimap, leading into one of its byroads that lead would eventually lead into the mountains of Ymir.
If one had a close look, all of these cloaked figures hiding away beyond the city had a sword of some kind at their waste. I knew Nadia was the oddball as she liked to attack with steel wires similar to Sharon on top of steel needles, but I could definitely tell these figures were assassins sent from the Garden of Swords.
Yet of these cloaked figures hiding behind trees, I spotted one figure acting very nonchalantly. He wasn't cloaked like the rest either. He had brown messy hair, very similar to Crow's style, but with it going over his eyes a bit. He was wearing a long coat with an upturned collar, over an untucked shirt. If one looked closely, a belt with a buckle in the shape of One could be seen holding his shirt and pants together.
Seeing this, I saw this figure start looking around, only to look back up into the skies. His gaze landed onto a particular direction, which was ours. I blinked seeing this figure stare our way, but he tilted his head acting confused, likely because we were still cloaked. His gaze then shifted toward the other cloaked figures beside him, only to give them a signal. Everyone quickly scattered while this figure started to rapidly close into the city. He also had quite a large sword over his back. Seeing these figures move, I frowned.
"I spotted 'em. Garden is on the move--?", I tried to say to Ennea and Ines, only to have a single notification pop into my mind.
