What's more scary than the Golden Rakshasa? A Golden Rakshasa who can use magic.

Don't forget to drop those power stones!

Unbeknownst to me, a meeting of two jaeger corps was held within the shadows on the outskirts of Heimdallr. On one side was the Jaeger King, Rutger Claussell who was the leader of the Zephyr jaeger corps, and on the other was Sigmund Orlando, who was the sub leader of the Red Constellation. He brought together Randy Orlando, who was the son of the leader of the Red Constellation, Baldur Orlando. This specifically occurred on the eastern sector.
And speaking of the jaeger corps...
If one were to compare them to modern times, they are essentially privately-owned militias. They enjoy earning money above all else. Pay a jaeger corp money, as long as you outbid any fellow contractors, they will do any job for you. And I mean any. It can range from stealing, kidnapping, guarding, even murder. Hell they can even wipe your ass for you as long as they get paid.
And it's not like I've not had thoughts on the jaeger corps. To put it bluntly, they are by far the best way to gain real combat experience. Bracers are mostly focused on monster combat, while soldiers and the like fight fellow humans while following orders of their nation.
If I want to experience real life and death situations, becoming a jaeger is the way to go. They have a lot of freedom too.
With that in mind, I have a simple plan to follow:
Have Roselia assist me in unlocking my Mana Core to start cultivating magic.
Get acquainted with Prince Olivert's family.
Create a familiar. (A/N: The plan from below onward will be where Vol 2 begins)
Enter the DG Cult and get acquainted with the High Priest, Joachim.
Find a way to join the Zephyrs.
These steps should last me a good while for the rest of my childhood into my early teens.
As for what I would experience once I turn fifteen, enrolling in Jenice Royal Academy in Liberl or Thors Military Academy in Erebonia is the most logical step with the background I was born into. I was currently leaning toward Thors to meet all of the future Class VII, but Jenice is not too bad either. I could use Jenice to get reacquainted with Kloe and Estelle, but then I would have to deal with the likes of Lechter and the student council. I could try spending a year in Jenice first while acting as a foreign exchange student into Thors. I am currently undecided on this part.
But there is an important part that I need to include in my childhood during the next three years. And that is to spend as much time as I can with Elie. She has just started coming over for play dates on the weekends and I won't stop that from happening. Only situations like now will prevent me from playing with Elie. As well as spending these remaining couple of years with my family and training with Roselia. It's gonna be a task in itself to juggle these three around... (A/N: Hmm, I wonder how long the incoming timeskip will be? xD)
But for now, I could only conclude these thoughts.
At this very moment, I was now enjoying sightseeing the vibrant city life of Heimdallr. The moment we reached past the eastern gate, we received an escort, very much similar to how a president's limo receives their escort. A car in the front and a car in the back. Many looked on with interest but we soon passed Alto Street once again, arriving onto the main intersection, Vainqueur Street. This street connected to each of the four cardinal directions, allowing one to visit the rest of Heimdallr.
Our destination was straight toward, to which a gigantic Palace could be seen all the way in the back. Even from the middle of Heimdallr, it was visible. It was a multi-story castle basked in vermillion. All the way in the back was a lone tower, almost if it acted like a giant clock tower. Seeing this gigantic Palace in person is a lot more exhilarating than it was in the games. And even then, there weren't many opportunities to explore inside of it, so going into this early is a plus.
"Despite just being my second time coming to the capital, this place is really pretty.", I decided to say. As I did, I turned a bit and had Aurelia appear in my line of sight. Hearing this, she smiled.
"But of course. Heimdallr is the pride of us Erebonians. It has been standing for several hundred years. Even I am but an ant in comparison.", Aurelia responded, trying to act a bit humble.
"Umu, it still flashy for my tastes. Seeing Heimdallr again almost hurts my eyes. It is way too red.", Roselia replied letting out a chuckle. Hearing that, Aurelia turned to look at Roselia.
"...Who exactly are you? You're acting like as if you are returning home after a long visit away. And yet you appear as a little girl like this.", Aurelia asked in wonder.
"Now you are getting more suspicious eh? It did look like you were able to gain something from our session just now, so I can humor you for now. You see, I've been around since even before your little na---", Roselia tried to explain, only to find her mouth kept shut by my hand after acting swiftly. My eyes started to twitch a bit after hearing Roselia was going that far to explain. I ended up retorting her.
"Now now, Master. Let's just say you're old enough to be Aurelia's grandmother, alright?", I retorted, releasing my hand. She snorted a bit but nodded.
"Fine. That's how Emma and the others call me back home anyway.", Roselia answered. Either way, Aurelia's eyes turned wide after Roselia said that.
"You're that old!? You still look like you retain both your youth and your vigor!", Aurelia exclaimed in surprise.
"Umu. Magic works wonders, little girl.", Roselia smiled.
"It's still mind boggling to me knowing that magic is real...I may have to rework my entire training regime. Hell, is it even possible for me to learn it?", Aurelia began to ponder. This caused Roselia to grin.
"Everyone is capable of learning magic. It's just people nowadays have strayed too far from the truth. There are some who even deny its very existence, but where would Orbal Energy be today if it weren't for magic? All answers lies within the Sprit Veins.", Roselia answered a bit, causing Aurelia's eyes to shift from surprise to anticipation.
"Spirit Veins...", Aurelia responded, reveling in the information Roselia gave her.
"And you have a lot of potential yourself, enough to where even vessels would run from fear. That should not go to waste. Learning swordsmanship is fine, but we are approaching an opportunity after we enter the Palace. I'll give you a chance to grasp onto it, but I will not teach you anything. It will be up to you to learn how to use it. How does that sound?", Roselia suddenly asked Aurelia. This even surprised me.
"Master, you don't mean...", I tried to say.
I couldn't even speak before Aurelia answered.
"I am grateful for giving me such an opportunity, and I am fine with that. I love pursuing both knowledge and strength. I will try to live up to your expectations. If I can get a grasp, I will acknowledge you as a new master.", Aurelia replied happily.
"Umu, it will be up to you.", Roselia smiled back. "For now, you may address me as Rose.", Roselia continued to say.
"Master...", I inwardly replied to Roselia. Our meditation session ended, but her mind was still connected to mine. We could still chat via telepathy. I was still getting a hang of that too.
"I know what I am doing, Naoto, so cease your worry. After inspecting Aurelia in person, she is a monster in her own right. I doubt there are many who can best her, even at her current age.", Roselia explained.
"Aurelia is that strong...?", I said, surprised once more.
"That's right, which is why I will unlock Aurelia's Mana Core together with yours. But I will not teach her any more than that.", Roselia explained.
"So you did decide on doing that.", I replied in wonder.
If Aurelia can successfully learn magic, no doubt will her strength soar to greater heights.
Thinking that, the three of us became quiet and enjoyed that sounds of a bustling street while we made our way through Vainqueur Street. Before long, we arrived at Dreichels Plaza, to which was completely sectioned off, not allowing any civilians to enter.
From here is where we would enter Valflame Palace, the home to the Arnor royal family that rules over all of Erebonia.
