Dem's Point of View
I slammed my body on the soft bed. Gosh, this is wholesome. I closed my eyes when suddenly my cellphone rang again so with my eyes closed I just answered the call.
"Hello?" I'm too sleepy to even open my eyes. This day is terrible. It was as if a few people had beaten me up. Gosh. Ouch, my ankle hurts.
"Ms. Galvez? How's my grandson--!" I immediately sat on the bed and looked at the screen to see who was calling.
"Mister Christopher!" there was a smile on my lips while shouting. "Do you know how many weeks you can't be contacted? What happened there in the Philippines? How about Mom? Why can't you contact the nurse all the time--"
"Did your Mom tell you where she was?"
My forehead furrowed.
"Huh? What do you mean? I should be the one to ask you that, Mr. Christopher. Did something happen to my Mother, huh?" Mr. Christopher immediately fell silent on the other line. That's when I remembered what Kai told me earlier.
