Chapter 4 - Unexpected Gaurdian!

"Is there any other matter that needs to be addressed today?" BloodFang said irritated.

"Yes, Rigel would like to visit his vault too." Prof. McGonagall replied. BloodFang grunted and shouted something in gobbledegook, a goblin came into the room, this one looked a lot younger than both BloodFang and the teller.

The following train ride was terrifying, especially when one looked closely at the clearly rusty cart and the speed at which it traveled on the narrow rail. Rigel looked at the positively terrified face of Prof. McGonagall as they stopped in front of Vault no. 713. She held out a small pouch and said, "Collect at least 100 Galleons for your school supplies, and something extra to tie you over until Christmas."

Rigel entered the vault after the goblin tinkered with the door for a bit. The vault wasn't that big, maybe made while keeping its nature as a trust vault in mind, it was barely the size of 2 rooms, but it was filled with heaps of gold. Rigel looked around not finding any sickles or knuts in the vault so he started grabbing piles of gold and shoving them into the bag that wasn't getting any heavier.

'So this has an extension charm on it, along with a featherlight charm?'

After filling the pouch with about 200 galleons, Rigel paused and opened his inventory, he placed one galleon into one of the boxes in the grid and it disappeared into thin air, a new number showed up across the top right corner of his Inventory indicating that he had 1 galleon stored and when he concentrated on withdrawing the galleon, the galleon appeared in front of him as a separate inventory space from which he easily plucked the galleon out.

'Quite a sophisticated system, speaking of which, Stats? Status...'

A blue holographic window appeared in front of him containing his stats, there was a small change in his exp because he completed the quest to talk to Prof. McGonagall, otherwise, it was all the same.

'I need to grind for Exp, will I find some dungeons later? Or do I need to study and shit to gain EXP?'

More questions kept popping up in his head as he started shoving fistfuls of money into his Inventory, when the galleon count reached 1000 he stopped and walked out of the vault.

"I got it, Prof. McGonagall," Rigel spoke as he spotted Prof. McGonagall standing on the side looking a little peachy.

"Okay let's go back, Prof. Dumbledore is waiting for us at the ministry, keep the money safe and out of sight for now..." Prof McGonagall said and with after giving another queasy look to the death cart, she followed into it.

Another short ride later and after some formalities, we arrived back in the lobby of the bank, while I was several times richer, Professor McGonagall gave me a key for safekeeping, "This is the key to your trust vault, now keep in mind, that whoever ends up being your guardian, you don't need to hand it over, and if anyth-" whatever she was about to say was cut off as her gaze was stuck on someone who was standing anxiously by the gate.

Long Black Hair, and familiar grey eyes easily gave away his identity, along with the blue name tag floating above his head, Sirius Black had the dashing looks that were described in the books but his arrival plunged Rigel's understanding of the situation further into chaos.

'Sirius is not in Askaban? How? Did Dumbledore save him? Is the Dumbledore in this version of the game, not the greater good preaching version?'

"Sirius! What are you doing here? You know the Winzemont is supposed to decide upon this matter-" Whatever Prof. McGonagall was about to say was interrupted by Sirius.

"They already voted, Prof. Dumbledore managed to shift the hearing time, we already got the majority vote, I got it..." He smiled at her brightly but he still seemed nervous all of a sudden, his anxious eyes taking in Rigel's visage.

Prof. McGonagall pursed her lips at being interrupted but still, she introduced Rigel and Sirius, "Rigel this is Sirius Orion Black, one of the last living members of your house and brother to your late father, Sirius this is Rigel Regulus Black..."

Rigel and Sirius stared at one another, Rigel on one hand was still amazed at the emotions that Sirius could display on his face, this level of graphics and human expression amazed him, while Sirius stared at the familiar visage of his once innocent brother in Rigel.

'Wow, look at the detail, this doesn't even seem like a cut-scene... it feels like it's really happening...'

Rigel moved his fingers to make sure he was in control of his body during the supposed cutscene, while Sirius finally gulped down his nervousness and spoke, "Uh, Hello Rigel, do you prefer Rigel or Mark?" It was a little funny seeing Sirius trying to sound polite but Rigel had a confused expression on his face.

'This company is smart, they already had a name set for the story mode, Rigel, so people who give names like *ussyBeater3000 would be screened out right here, seeing the emotional Intelligence displayed by everyone till now, it seems unlikely Sirius would say some ridiculous name.'

Seeing Rigel's slightly confused expression, Sirius explained, "I got the news that you existed 2 days ago, I had to climb the tree to see over the yard yesterday, don't worry I borrowed an invisibility cloak..." Sirius winked his eyes filled with mischief before he continued, "anyway I know you have been called Mark your whole life, and if you want we can apply for a name change application at the ministry."

By now Rigel was composed once again, both the Matron and Prof. McGonagall had stoic faces, so seeing the genuine emotion that Sirius displayed struck Rigel for a bit, "Nah I'm okay, Rigel sounds good..." Rigel decided to test the emotions once more so he added, "It's the name Dad gave me after all..." he smiled slightly at Sirius. They both shared a small smile before Sirius said, "Let's go, I have your room ready and there are a lot of things I need to teach you-" Sirius was about to go on but this time Prof. McGonagall coughed politely to interrupt him.

"I still have to complete my tour, Sirius..." Sirius gave her a wink, he was back in his element now as he said, "Let's go then, let's give you an introduction Marauder style..."
