Chapter 67 - The Silver God

Fort Arashi shook violently as silver light filled the sky. The earth rumbled and the clouds churned from the blasts as the surrounding area was weathered away.

"Moorza isn't holding anything back is he..." hissed a slender woman wrapped in cloth, covering her from head to toe as she hung upside down from a tree. Her features were not visible but the faint glow of her eyes could be seen, an ominous, ghostly green, through the cloth. Countless small blades were attached to her body.

"Of course not." Said another figure below the first. "We represent the Council of Gods. We have to give a strong first impression."

The second figure was a boy, small and thin, much like the girl, though he seemed younger, like that of a child. He was wrapped in similar cloth, and over the cloth he wore a set of black, morphed and misshapen armor. On his back were tied two swords, both larger than himself.

Just then the earth shook violently and the trees trembled. An intense pressure seemed to overtake the entire world, sending shudders through all who felt it.

"It's beginning."

Moorza, the Silver God of the Moon, floated in the air above Fort Arashi, glaring down as he saw no damage had come to the base. Then the pressure hit him and he tended up, his eyes narrowing as he sneered down at a figure walking out of the fort. It was a boy, shrouded in black aura.

Akuro stepped into the sight of the god high above him. He felt giddy, he could sense an extremely powerful aura coming off of this god, more powerful than anything he'd experienced before.

Stopping, Akuro put his hands in his pockets and looked up at the god, tilting his head with a grin, his cloak billowing in the cold night wind and the chains clinking together on his arms.

"Quite the entrance." Akuro spoke. "You come to fight?"

"Where are your armies?" Moorza asked. "Are you not the new king of hell?"

"I am. But I won't need my army. You came alone, so I'll face you alone."

Moorza sneered. "Seems the old man wasn't lying when he said you were arrogant."

Akuro snickered. "I've got a reason to be. There isn't a god in existence that can challenge me. Not that I've seen."

"Allow me to be the one that disproves your theory then, boy."

Moorza raised a finger and a spark of silver light fell to the earth, breaking apart into smaller ones until it created a sort of smokescreen, like hail or a blizzard, each drop, each flake of snow, a miniature explosion of aura that would burst on contact. Akuro dashed forward, leaning low to the ground as black aura materialized around his legs and he exploded into motion, little more than a blur, almost impossible to see at his speed.

When he cleared the storm of aura, he looked up, seeing Moorza dropping from the sky and crashing to the ground, a massive chakram held in his hand which he crashed into the earth, splitting it open in an eruption of silver light. Akuro vanished just in time, dodging the attack.

"What?" Moorza exclaimed in surprise as Akuro reappeared behind him, his foot crashing into the God's head with a resounding *SNAP* as his body was sent spiraling across the barren land.

Moorza skidded to a stop, using his chakram to help slow the roll and give himself balance as he stood to his feet.

"I see." The god growled. "So you aren't all just luck after all."

Akuro sighed. "See, that's what I've been trying to say this whole time." His expression became cold. "Me becoming Death was never an accident."

A shroud of black aura enveloped Akuro then, the pressure from his power so intense it caused the clouds to be pushed away from him and the ground to split open and quake, rocks and boulders floating up into the air as his Aura Cloak took a solid shape. A black mask resembling that of a dragon now covered Akuro's face, red eyes shining through two small slits in the mask, while scales covered his skin and black cloth flicked in the wind. Large spikes grew out from his back at random angels while talons grew from his hands and two massive black horns curled from his head.

Moorza's eyes widened. 'What the hell is this kid...?' He wondered. Then he put his head in his hand, laughing.

"How fitting, that you're a black dragon." The god spoke. "Ironic really."

Moorza hunched forward, holding his chakram out, silver light glowing from it while silver scales grew down his arm, massive luminescent talons growing from his hand while white wings sprouted from his back. The ground around Moorza's feet split and shattered apart from his intense aura.

The air stirred and twisted like a hurricane as the two auras clashed.

They were evenly matched.

"This..." Akuro growled, his scythe materializing in his hand, the blade size much larger due to being extended by his aura. "Is gonna be fun.."

A moment later the world erupted into motion as the two beasts exploded at one another, their auras crashing into one another, causing the earth below them to crack, splitting in two as if a planet sized blade had struck the earth when Akuro's scythe came into contact with Moorza's Chakram.

Akuro hooked Moorza's chakram with his God Slayer, then swung violently downwards, throwing the god to the split in the earth below, crashing to the bottom of the massive ravine. Black aura then surrounded all sides of the split before moving inwards, forcing the earth to close on the god, but that wouldn't keep Moorza down.

Akuro leapt back as silver light burst from the crack, splitting it open once more like an erupting volcano as the god leapt out of the earth, streaming through the air towards Akuro, his talons colliding with his wall of black aura, sending him careening to the ground, which shattered in on itself from the impact, creating a crater.

Moorza threw his chakram, which sang is as it flew towards Akuro, it's silver aura gradually getting larger and larger as it soared through the air. Akuro raised his hand, massive talons of black aura grabbing the chakram, the two forces colliding with each other and violently clashing before erupting and blasting outwards in a massive explosion of dark and light, chaos, that left a massive depression in the earth where Akuro stood, unfazed.

The chakram whistled back to Moorza's hand as he hung high in the air above Akuro.

"God warned me you'd be strong." Moorza spoke. "But I never imagined you'd be able to go toe-to-toe with me."
