Andy's POV
I waved my friends goodbye and watched as they made their way towards the first gate of the school, and the first thing I did was to wrap my arms around my middle as a small shudder slid down my body in a feeling akin to dread. The smell of my preheat was already quite sharp, and the smell was assaulting my nose really well at this point. I had already pulled on my jacket before leaving the classroom, in hopes of killing some of my scent that way, but now, I was feeling clammy and stuffy, and wished I could tug the jacket off.
But because I know that wasn't going to be a smart move? I left the jacket on and turned around, making my way towards the left part which would take me to the third gate. I could feel some sweat slide down my face and mix with the wisps of my hair that had managed to lose from the bun I had repacked my hair into, some time ago. I was feeling like my inside was boiling, and the jacket against my heated skin was only making matters worse.
I could feel the pounding in my head increase, the more I moved, as a slight wave of tiredness hit me. I wanted to pause for a moment and catch my breath, because the third gate of the school was so damn far from the first one, which was closest to where my last class for the day had been situated… but I wouldn't dare to rest a little, because of my current situation.
I knew I could have asked Ash to come pick me up, knowing that he was going to drop everything to come get me instantly, but I didn't want it to seem like I was trying to treat him like my Alpha, when he most definitely wasn't.
I puffed out a deep breath and glanced into the sky for a moment, the sky wasn't all that dark, but the sun had already completely disappeared from the face of the sky, a few more moments and stars would be on the face of the sky in a beautiful twinkle.
I bit on my lower lip as I quickened my pace, feeling somehow glad that even though my current situation was completely shit, that I wasn't having any cramps yet. Assuming today was my actual pre heat day, I was going to have been bombarded with cramps so intense, I most definitely won't have been able to do all what I was doing at the moment, because of the intense pain and discomfort of the cramps.
I was glad that I haven't come in contact with any Alpha so far, even though I had walked past one some time ago, there had been a good distance separating us, so I wasn't sure he had been able to smell my heat, or perhaps he had smelled it, but he was one of those good and well respected ones.
Whichever it was, I'm just relieved he didn't try to come onto me and had just walked past me without another glance. I was silently praying I wouldn't have to come across anyone else until I got to Ash's side, because even if none of them made no move towards me, it was still super embarrassing for them to smell my heat, and I was sure there was some embarrassed color staining my cheeks at the moment.
The sound of a tree rustling a few inches behind me, made everything inside me slow down as I started to slow my footsteps before finally stopping in a particular spot. I waited a few seconds with my breath held in my throat, and after hearing nothing, the breath I had been holding had started to slowly ease out of my lungs in relief, only for footsteps to start to each behind me, and just couldn't help my curiosity anymore.
I wrapped my arms around my middle instinctively as I turned around, and my mouth fell open in shock and fright on coming face to face with the Alpha who I had exchanged words with at the cafeteria, and he didn't look happy.
To make matters worse; he wasn't alone, about five other alphas were standing behind him, like a crew while he stood a foot away from them, making it obvious who called the shots.
I could have almost laughed at how ridiculous all these was, if I wasn't in the middle of this whole predicament, and if they didn't all regard me like I was a prey.
A cold shiver slide down my spine and a took a step backwards, but the Alpha who I had exchanged words with back in the cafeteria, took a step forward, a slow and dark smile spreading out on his face.
"Look who we have here, boys..." His voice was low when he started to speak and I felt my heart sink into my stomach when he reached forward and wrapped his hand around my collar, using his hold on my jacket to jerk me forward.
No, no, this cannot be happening…
I repeated those words over and over again in my head, but it was indeed happening right before me. I was literally surrounded by a bunch of alphas who were all snickering around me and staring at me with a sick look on their eyes, and for a moment, I started to regret mouthing off to the Alpha back in the cafeteria, because if I hadn't done that, I wouldn't be in this current situation.
"So, you were an omega all these while?" The Alpha whose grip was still firm on my collar snickered into my face and my face burned brightly in embarrassment as anger and fright curled into my stomach at once, because I was sure my scent was filling the whole air around us at the moment, my stupid suppressant had completely weared off without me even realizing it, until this very moment.
"Let go of me," I demanded as I tried to loosen out of his grip, but his grip only tightened in response.
"I think not." Came his response, and a roar of laughter, accompanied by his friend's, even though I was a lot sure nothing funny had happened that could have warranted that amount of laughter.
I was completely doomed tonight.
