"Are you mad at me?" Luca asked with a frustrated voice.
"No," Juliette thriftily replied.
Luca glanced at her from the driver's seat like he was trying to find some ounce of sincerity in Juliette's face.
"Then why aren't you saying anything?"
Juliette ignored Luca's question and asked instead. "Why are you driving anyway? Where's Dante and Salvatore?"
"I let them have fun. For a change," Luca proudly replied. As if he was trying to flaunt that he was such a magnanimous person.
Juliette crossed her arms. "And you're taking me home without letting me have the fun?"
"Wait a minute," Luca intercepted with a furrowed forehead. "Did you just look for other guys in front of me?"
"Yeah, so what?" Juliette countered insolently.
Luca wet his lower lip. And Juliette thought he was about to start an argument. But instead, he said, "I'm sorry."
Juliette was taken aback by his sudden apology.
"I never expected Sherin would do that."
