Three soft knocks rumbled from the door.
"Juliette…"
When Juliette recognized Luca's voice, she immediately stood up, and her chair made a loud dragging sound as she did so.
Juliette tried to fix the dress she was wearing as she was nervous.
'Did he find out I eavesdropped on their conversation? Is he here to scold me?'
Juliette nervously paced back and forth in front of her bed, and she jerked when Luca knocked again.
"Open the door. Are you there?"
Juliette cleared her throat. "Y-Yes. A moment, please."
She padded towards the door and opened it for Luca.
Luca ambled inside the room like it was his. Well, technically, it was his.
"I hope the room's fine with you," he casually said.
"It is," Juliette thriftily responded.
Luca looked at Juliette as if he was scrutinizing her bodily language. He found it a bit odd that she appeared nervous.
Sweeping the unanswered question beneath the rug, Luca smiled. "Get dressed. We're going somewhere."
