'Hi, may I speak with Desmond, please?' I asked.
'Do you not have manners?' The voice was not calm anymore.
'Sorry?' I looked at my phone screen to check that I had called the right person and I did.
'What do you want?' The person asked.
'I want to speak to Desmond.' I said.
'Hold on, he'll be with you in a moment.'
The line went off.
I didn't like how the woman had spoken to me so I didn't bother calling back but later that evening, I received a call from an unknown person. I knew if I was going to be dealing with drug dealers, it would be normal for me.
'Hello?' I whispered.
'Don't say anything.' Immediately I heard the harsh voice of the caller, I knew it was Desmond.
'What?' I asked.
'I just asked you not to say anything. Are you always this stubborn?' He was whispering but I could tell he was frustrated.
'Now I can't reply to you because you asked me not to say anything.' I chuckled.
