George made a lot of sense, and I made a mental note to check in on dad. I needed to know how he was doing too.
Dad returned hours later with the Thai food but couldn't even have the meal with George and me because he had some place he needed to be. George was a darling and decided to spend the night with me. At the very least, it was reassuring that he was there. At least, he did not leave my side.
