'Speaking of gifts. Kassy, I never got to give Mauve a wedding gift before she left.' Alicia sighed.
'Well, I'm sure she understands. But have you spoken to her since then?' I asked.
'Yeah. She's having the time of her life.'
I was sceptical about asking after Eric, but I knew she was going to suspect something if I didn't.
'How is Eric? And Kolin? I bet he's so big now.'
'Kassy, I'm going to skip the part where I pretend like everything is okay and just ask you, what is going on with Eric and Pilar?' Alicia glared at me.
My first guess was dad had dropped hints about it to her, but there was no sure way of knowing. I did not know how much of the matter she was aware of and dragging people that had no hand in telling her was not the best option.
'What do you mean?' I asked.
It was better for me to feign ignorance than jump into telling her the truth.
