I hoped for the day that nothing dramatic was going to happen in my life or in that of anyone related to me.
'I should be on my way; I have a lot of clients to see today.' Amy said.
'I should be on my way too. I need to drop Kolin off at school and go to work.' Eric stood up and carried Kolin.
'I guess I'll be here by myself. Well, Bryan will be here soon so that's great.' I said.
I knew they were going to leave but I wanted them to stay. I wanted company. It was going to saddening knowing that I was going to be alone for long periods until my baby came.
'Bryan?' Amy asked.
'The father of my baby. He's a great guy, really.' I said.
'Good for you then. Make sure to binge those series.' Amy hugged me and left.
Eric only nodded and walked away. I wanted to make use of my alone time to sleep but the nurse came in.
'Good morning Kassy, I just need to check your vitals and see if your baby is doing well.' She began to take notes.
