'Has it kicked yet?'
That was an absurd question to ask someone who was almost seven months pregnant.
'Yes. It kicks all the time.' I said.
'Kassandra, I love this baby already and I want the best for it. I know all about your boyfriend and his generosity, but I want to take care of my family myself. You are my family now; you are the mother of my child and I want to provide for you.' He sat.
I did not like the words he was saying. What did he mean by I was his family? We were only having a bay together and that meant nothing.
'I understand how you feel but look, you can do whatever you want for the baby but please, do not force me to take part in it.' I said.
'Kassandra, as long as that baby is inside of you, I will provide for you. I have prepared a small place for you. It's at the center of everything. The grocery store, the convenience store, the hospital and it's even in a good school district. I want you to live there.' He smiled.
