'But why is it in three months? Isn't that a little too hasty?' Alicia turned to Mauve.
'I thought so too but the truth is, there is no point sitting around and waiting when we both know what we want.' Mauve looked at Ayo and smiled again.
I recognized the look in her eyes. That was the look Alicia once had. It was just sad that there was a possibility that the person that made people have that look in their eyes had the power to turn it around completely.
'I'm just really happy for you, Mauve. You deserve this so much.'
'Thanks, Alicia. I've been thinking of Nate all my life but there was Ayo out there, just waiting for me.' She picked a slice of pizza.
'Is there a particular date yet?' I asked.
'First of January seems promising but we have other days in January to consider. We'll let you know as soon as we make our minds up.'
