She dragged herself down the couch to the floor and rested her back against its feet; she drew her knees to herself and wrapped her arms around herself as she tried so hard to wrap her head around all that had happened.
Her eyes were swollen and bloodshot from crying, and her head was beginning to ache terribly but she did not make a move to get aspirin to ease it. Her groceries still laid on the kitchen slab unattended but she was least bothered at the moment, all she needed were answers.
Answers to the questions boggled her mind and threatened to burst her head open if she didn't get a response as fast as she could.
Why did he leave?
Why did he not give me a heads up at least?
Did I do something wrong?
Am I a terrible host?
Was I too harsh on him?
