Dahlia was surprised at the quick turn of things. She had only been joking and despite the mischievous smirk on her face, Jett had still not known that she was only feigning annoyance. She was loving the way the conversation was going and how they were teasing each other endlessly. That had been put to an abrupt stop because Jett could not tell the difference between the time, she was angry and when she was joking. She knew that even in pain, Elio would have been able to tell the difference between sarcasm and straight talk, feigned annoyance and a real one. Not for once had he ever apologized for something she was not offended by.
Moreover, even if she was angry over that, it wasn't worth so much apology. At first, she opened her mouth to speak, but words would not just find expression.
