For a house he had considered below his usual standard, he was surprised that he slept well at all. He had assumed the words about the place immediately he set his foot in yesterday. He had strongly assumed that he would most likely not be able to sleep all night because of rodents like rats, roaches, and maybe even bugs. This is because he has heard quite a lot of tales from people who grew up in such houses. Some of his Father's boys who grew up in the low areas like Dahlia's apartment have always fed him with stories of how they have had to live intimately with rodents. Since he never had to deal with a life like that, he can only build his belief based on what he heard.
Prepared for the worst, he had already braced himself up, promising to tell Dahlia to get him some earphones if the rodents did not let him sleep. The function of the earphones is to fill his ears with music instead of the noise from the rodent because that would be a better alternative.
