He smiled at her. He needed to get her to feel comfortable so he can present his offer.
"My brother was here earlier," he started once she had gotten herself a seat, "he says Dr. Jett suggested that we move to some other hospital."
He sat up on his bed and Dahlia rushed to help position the pillow behind him so he'd be comfortable.
"Thank you." He told her. She nodded.
"He thinks we have the money to afford some expensive hospital because my brother paid half a million dollars for the last brain scan. Truth is, according to my brother, that's all I and him have had saved all these years. And as we speak, we're left with nothing to our names." He looked down at his hands as he played with them.
"This also means that, even though I'm not fully recovered yet, we won't be able to afford the cost of being here anymore." He told her.
She gasped in shock.
