Even though Dominic felt a little guilty over the death of the Vermin leader's youngest son, he knew that he could not walk up to the man and apologize. That would be suicide. Besides, in the business of the underworld, one must be ready to lose anything and everything. Like they always say, all was fair in love and war. Still, Dominic knew that losing his two sons must be very hard for the Vermin leader. Perhaps, he could call for a truce between them when everything dies down. Dominic's phone rang, distracting him from his thoughts.
"Hello?" Dominic answered.
"Dad, what the fuck did you do to uncle Ricky? He's been swearing that he would kill you himself one of these days," Elio said to his father.
So, that was where Ricky was? With Elio? Dominic thought. He had looked around for the man in every place he could think of, but Dominic hadn't even caught a glimpse of his old friend.
