Loud bang woke me up. I rised my head in annoyance and squinted at my hut's outdoor. I listened for awhile until I let my head fall back to my sweet soft pillow. Back to my sweet dreams...

"Sylvana are you there!?"
I recognised that voice. I internally cursed and with a groan I rose up from my bed. I slowly creeped towards my door, while snatching my coat from nearby chair. I briefly looked at mirror on the wall. I looked like haven't slept for years. Under my green hazel eyes, a dark undereyes made their presence know to everyone who would look at me. My light brown hair was all over the place and my white skin made me look as if I just had arisen from grave. This was how I usually looked in the morning, so nothing unusual there. I have always wondered who where those people that looked perfect from moment they wake up, because I certainly wasn't one of them.

"SYN, ARE YOU THERE"
I janked the door open and cursed at the person who was running my already ruined morning even further. "What do you want!? and stop calling me that!?" I hissed between my teeth. "Ah! cheerful and poppy in the morning as usual" With bright smile answered Thomas, Frost fang clan's beta.
Thomas has tall lean body and hair red as marple leaves in the autumn. His eyes to contrast to his hair was ice blue and his skin filled with freckles. He smiled with broad smile, that showed his perfect white teeth. I swore that annoying smile was chronicly stuck on his face all the time. "Aplha requested your presence in the great hall, and asked me to get you sunshine." He continued something malicious flickering in his eyes. I squinted at him and asked "what do you need me for? Shouldn't you handle wolf business all of your own?"
Thomas shrugged his shoulders and said nonchalantly "this is something that seems to need you, so I would dress up quickly if I were you, Syn." I looked Thomas with annoyed eye. He kept calling me with that stupid nickname despite knowing how I hated it. I think he does it just to push my buttons sometimes. I sighed "Just give me a moment." I closed the door and started dress up and figure what to do with my face. "I would give you all the time in the world, my love." Thomas smirked behind the door. I swore someday I would stab him.
After some time I opened the door and stepped outside. Thomas seemed to be looking at my crooked stairs connected to my porch, completely lost in thoughts. "Thomas, I am ready to go" I said. He snapped from his thoughts and looked me with wide smile as usual. "Aren't you looking lovely, let's go!" Sometimes I weren't sure if he was mocking me or legitimately meaning his praises. Perhaps he was like this for every one. I try not to think too much for it, as one thing I was sure of that I weren't his mate. I had known Thomas from childhood to adulthood and he was now twenty nine years old. For werewolves it is rare but not uncommon to find their mate, their second half, but for wolves that old it is unlikely that they'll be able find theirs. Most likely their mate had found somebody else or they didn't exist first place. For Thomas it was unlikely he would meet his, yet he seemingly keeps waiting for his mate. I find it somewhat pitiful.
We walked down the snowy path. Thomas walked font of me humming somekind of melody. He seemed cheeky cheerful as usual. I wondered what was this about, wolves would never ask help of a witch unless it was something serious. I felt uneasy, and more of things I thought of what this could be more nervous I felt. "Don't worry, it is nothing that serious." Thomas said as if he read my thoughts. He turned and looked at me with his ice blue eyes, slightly looking concerned at me. "You know that we would never put you harm's way" He continued. I scoffed at him "Never was my concern at first place, you and Aplha make sure that I am isolated from everything and everyone sake of my safety." "Hmm, perhaps you should try to run less to problems so we wouldn't need to worry so much." He said small smile curling in his lip. "To be honest I don't mind pampering and protecting you." He winked.
I started him blackly "I'm a witch, I don't need protecting in the first place." He chuckled "Ah, but you know how Alpha feels about you, right? He can't help it." "He does not need to, he should just focus on his Luna, I can handle myself" I replied, however I did understand what Thomas was trying to say, after all...
"We are here, let's hurry up. Aplha is already waiting for us" Thomas interrupted my thoughts and opened door to pack house.
