Thanks to Urahara's intervention, the number of Hollows was rapidly decreasing.
Tessai, Jinta and Ururu were taking out the monsters at incredible speed.
Uryu: "That's incredible…they're really strong…"
Yato: "So It seems…"
Ichigo: "Mr. Hat-and-Clogs…? Why are you here…?"
Urahara: "I already told you. We've come to the rescue~. Don't worry, we'll take care of those little flies so you, Kurosaki-san, can concentrate on fighting that one over there. See, this is no time to chit-chat." - The shopkeeper said while pointing to the Menos, who was finally getting out of that crack completely.
Yato: 'It would be much easier for you to take care of Menos and us of the common Hollows…but anyway…at least with this I'll be able to put my plan into practice and act as if nothing had happened…'
Ichigo: "Damn it! That thing is coming!"
Rukia and Kon who had just arrived at the place, were completely paralyzed for not believing what they were seeing.
Rukia: "...Ah…that…..is a Menos Grande…!!"
Kon: "...Menos Grande…?"
Rukia: "It's a giant Hollow born from the merging of thousands of Hollows…however…that thing…is something I've only seen in illustrations in books…!!"
I looked in Rukia's direction as she talked about the Menos and I found it ironic that she said only the elite could handle the Menos.
Yato: 'You would be able to finish him off yourself if you had your powers, Rukia…of course, if only you stopped demeaning yourself…'
While Uryu and Ichigo thought about what to do, the Menos started to devour several other smaller Hollows when they went to the creature.
Uryu: "He's devouring…his own comrades…!!"
Ichigo: "…He heh…"
Uryu: "What's so funny, Kurosaki!?"
Yato: "I think Ichigo broke when he saw that…"
Ichigo: "There's no way we can think of a plan to fight that thing…stuff like that…We've got to cut and cut and cut until it drops!! There's no other way!!!!!" - He shouted as he ran towards the giant Hollow. - "Let's go, Yato! Ishida!!!!!!!"
Yato: "And…there he goes…" - I said as I followed him.
Uryu: "What…!? Wait!! Have you two gone crazy!? Kurosaki! Yasakani!" - Despite questioning us, he also ended up following us.
A little further away from where we were, Rukia got even more nervous when she saw that we were advancing against the Menos.
Rukia: "Yato!? Ichigo!? Stop!! You can't fight against that!" - She threatened to run to us but was stopped by Urahara who got in her way. - "Urahara!! What is the meaning of this!? You intend to kill them!?"
Urahara: "Of course not."
Rukia: "Then get out of the way! If you don't stop them, they'll–"
Urahara: "I can't do this, Kuchiki-san." - He said as he made a small gesture with his left hand towards Rukia's face, causing the little shinigami to fall to her knees, paralyzed.
Rukia: 'Is that…a Bakudou…!? My…my body…'
Urahara: "This is a crucial battle. It's as crucial for you as it is for them…"
While all this was going on, to ensure that Ichigo came out of this fight a little more intact, I tied some threads on his arms and legs when I saw that he was going to attack the Menos.
Ichigo: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH" - He yelled as he tried to cut the monster's leg, but despite putting a lot of force into the attack, the cut barely scratched the Menos.
The creature moved its foot to kick Ichigo but I quickly pulled him back with the threads, making him land comically between me and Uryu.
Uryu: "Kurosaki!! I warned you!! - He turned to Menos and tried to shoot one of his arrows at the giant Hollow, however, his attack also had no effect.
Yato: "Is everything okay there, Ichigo?"
Ichigo: "Yes, nice save, Yato" - He gave a thumbs up.
Yato: "So…what was the big plan when you decided to run into that thing…?"
Ichigo: "Well…I wondered if I could cut his feet and work my way up, then the head would fall down last…"
Uryu: "....Like Jenga, huh…? Geez, I don't even care what your brain is made of…Now get up! We need to rethink a battle plan!" - He commented while touching Ichigo's zanpakutou, which made his spiritual arc almost double in size.
Yato: "Wow…"
Uryu: "...What...!? What is this...!? My bow..."
Yato: 'Basically…since Ichigo's spiritual energy is constantly leaking out, Uryu touching the zanpakutou is causing Ichigo's reiatsu to flow through Uryu, causing his bow's power to increase…'
Uryu: "Kurosaki!"
Ichigo: "Eh? What do you want…What the hell is that!? What happened to your bow!!?"
Uryu: "Stop It! This might sound like a strange idea…but I think I've figured out a way for us to defeat that thing! Yasakani I'm going to need your help with those threads you're able to create!!"
Yato: "Huh…right…" - I replied pretending not to understand the situation while mentally I went back to warning my Fullbring. - 'Get ready, Cheshire!'
Cheshire: 'No need to tell me! Did you forget that I know basically everything you're thinking!?'
Yato: 'I know, but it doesn't hurt to pretend…'
# Meanwhile, in a building not far away #
Chad: "Can you…can you see Ichigo next to Yato and Ishida…?"
Orihime: "Yes…"
Tatsuki: "That Urahara guy said to watch from here… while they're fighting that giant monster…"
Inoue noticed that her friend, despite seeming to be speaking very calmly, the tomboy's wrists were trembling.
Orihime: "It means…that we have to make a decision on which path we should take…"
The three teenagers were silent for a while as Inoue pondered.
She clearly remembered when her brother turned into a monster and Ichigo had to face him, but it was all so surreal that she tried several times to pretend that none of that had happened.
Orihime: "Tatsuki-chan…Sado-kun…what should we do…?"
Chad: "....."
Tatsuki: "For now…hope that those three idiots come out of this fight in one piece…" - She crossed her arms as she looked back at her friends. - 'Ichigo…Yato…you better get out of there alive…'
# Back to Yato, Ichigo and Uryu #
Uryu: "Okay!! All preparations are complete!! Now we can fight him!!"
Uryu's genius idea consisted of me using my threads to tie Ichigo's giant zanpakutou to his head while Ichigo just…held the zanpakutou…
Ichigo: "....Are you an idiot…?" - He dropped the zanpakutou, making Uryu's bow shrink comically.
Uryu: "What!!!"
Yato: "Look…the idea is cool…but your way of executing the idea is quite idiotic…"
Uryu: "Even you, Yasakani!!?"
Normally, I would never go along with such a dumb idea, however, this is an opportunity to not only get my threads in contact with a quincy but also the Asauchi of a shinigami.
As much as the format has changed due to the transfer of powers, the sword that Ichigo uses still belongs to Rukia…which makes her a legitimate asauchi.
Yato: 'With this, when I acquire my shinigami powers I won't need to go after Urahara or try to get a random zanpakutou in Soul Society. '
Uryu: "Don't you understand!? If I'm in contact with your sword and you use your spiritual power I'll be able to shoot an unbelievably big arrow!! Now unleash your power and control it!!"
Yato: "Eeeh…If that's the idea, I have bad news for you, Ishida-san…"
Uryu: "Huh?"
Ichigo: "I never controlled my spirit energy."
Uryu: "WHAT!!!?? Don't be ridiculous! How have you faced the Hollows this whole time!?"
Ichigo: "...No clue..."
Yato: "His plan was always to hit the Hollows with the cutting edge of his sword." - I commented smirking at the situation. - "That was the shinigami you wanted to prove your superiority to, Ishida-san." - Now I was laughing.
My words made Uryu's face turn red with embarrassment and this triggered yet another argument between him and Uryu.
I decided to stay out of the argument as I had bigger concerns, like the Menos Grande charging a Cero to shoot us.
