Kwan and the old man went home via the metro. As the stubborn old man didn't allow Kwan to go home alone. He was adamant about going home with Kwan. At one point Kwan was confused about whether the old man wanted to go home with her or just wanted to use her as an excuse to ride the subway. As they were sitting inside the metro, the old man seemed excited as a child as if he was in some kind of amusement park. The bodyguards were sent home with the car and both the granddaughter-grandfather pair decided to ride the subway alone. Old man Ko wanted to ride the subway alone with Kwan.
Old man Ko's hands were together bound with Kwan's hands. They looked like the sweet pair of granddaughter-grandfather. Many people in the metro looked towards the pair with tenderness and affection. The old man was busy talking with Kwan in his excited tone about how this was his first time riding it and how convenient and easy public transport had become. He even said that he used to get bored in his car and from now he would also travel via public subways. But Kwan had to stop his shenanigans and bring him back to the world of reality. She tried making him understand that this could easily drain his energy every day. This way the sweet little family pair bickered and argued and talked about everything and anything till they reached home.
At the subway station, the bodyguards along with the secretary of Chairman Ko were waiting for them. As they reached, the old man refused to hail the car and insisted on walking the way back home from the station. All of them were worried about the old man. Even Kwan was taken aback by the sudden demands of the old man. She was about to say something but the old man beat her to it. "Kwan I'm not that delicate that a little walk home would wear me out." Hearing his words Kwan did not say anything and continued to hold his hands and walked ahead.
The bodyguards again could only follow their master's order and walked along with them by following them with a good distance between them. The Asst. of the old man also followed them. He was a little ahead of the bodyguards. He was walking with the old man and young miss. This scene was quite fascinating to be seen in the subway station. Everybody was suddenly looking at these bulky bodyguards and then noticed the old man who seemed to be some prominent figure in society along with him was a young beautiful lady holding his hands and walking with him. There was a small unnoticeable smile adorned on her face and she was most probably smiling on hearing something the old man was saying or more like scolding the man walking behind them. The man was just obediently listening to the old man.
Many people even took pictures of them. Some even thought that they were a celebrity, as there was a rumor that a celebrity would be visiting this subway station for some shoot. Even some undercover media people were present there. As soon as they saw the well-known Chairman Ko of Senwa, they did not hesitate in clicking their pictures. Everybody was interested in the young lady walking beside him. No one knew her identity.
Not far away, a pair of deep brown eyes were intently staring at the young lady with deep interest. It was as if he could not take his eyes off her. For some reason the woman made him stop at his steps and take another glance at her. He felt as if he had seen her somewhere. She seemed very familiar but distant at the same time. He could not pinpoint exactly where he had seen her. Or was it just his assumption? He hurriedly averted his eyes, took a deep breath, and started walking ahead inside the station. He was wearing a black mask on his face so no one had noticed his presence. And the sudden commotion made it easier for him to get away without being noticed.
Kwan and old man Ko reached the mansion after a ten-minute walk. As they entered the house, the housekeeper Kim served water to both of them. Housekeeper Kim was an old aged woman working for the Ko family from an early age. She was like a family to this household and its family. Even Kwan found this lady very kind and easy. Even after knowing that Kwan was not a part of this family, housekeeper Kim treated her very well. With a smile, Kwan accepted the glass of water and also greeted her.
She had visited the Ko villa after a long time. Because every time she came here she would feel uncomfortable. After all, grandfather Ko treated her like his own granddaughter but the truth was that she was not the real family to him. This was not her own home. She excused herself and walked towards the guestroom, which was in her room in this villa. There was some of her stuff too. The old man insisted on her keeping some of her stuff here just in case. But she was still thankful to the old man for his care and kindness. She did not want to go back home. Even though she did not have a family, the old man was still always there for her.
Entering the room, she could see all her stuff the way she had left them. Looks like the old man knew her very well. A small smile broke on her small face. She roamed around the room. The balcony door was closed, she approached the door and opened the door. Suddenly cool wind hit her face and entered the room. She stepped out on the balcony and sat on the little bean bag placed there. She stretched her legs and took off her heels. With a long sigh, she collapsed on the bean bag like a sloth. Maybe she was really tired. The wind hit her being and her face which felt refreshing. She just wanted to sleep here and enjoy the moment. She closed her eyes and just stayed still.
"Aren't you cold?". Grandpa Ko approached her and sat down on the swing on the other side of the balcony. He knew she would be sitting here instead of getting fresh and washing up. Kwan did not open her eyes nor did she answer his question. She just kept sitting there and enjoying the breeze. Grandpa Ko too kept mum and just looked at her relaxed form enjoying the breeze. He adored this child a lot but the world kept on crushing her time and again. He averted his eyes and looked at the vast river in front of him. He sighed and mumbled in the silence, "They are looking for you, Kwan."
Hearing this Kwan opened her eyes and looked at the old man. Her eyes turned cold and her relaxed face turned expressionless and guarded. She stared at the old man with her cold eyes but the old man kept staring ahead toward the vast river. After a long silence, the old man again spoke up, "But don't worry, I won't let them find you." Saying this he turned his face and directly looked into her cold eyes.
