A thudding sound of Aylin's slap made him silent, cutting him in the middle. Kai froze in his place, instinctively his hand covered his cheek. It felt warm though the slap wasn't that hard. It exploded in his head with a blinding whiteness. It made him dizzy for a moment. He instantly looked down, his shoulders hunched forward.
A sensation of intense sickness and desolation swept over him. The only word that he managed to mumble was 'Lin'. It was just a slap but, from his physical damage, his emotional damage was more severe and non-repairable. His crimson eyes darkened as he watched Aylin, leave. The swell of pain was beyond tears.
