"Traitor? Who is a traitor, Princess?"
Gav asked again while walking toward Aylin and Stella. His voice was heavy with sarcasm. They were only a few hands away. Blood was dripping from his unsheathed sword. Even in the dim light of the silvery moon, Aylin could clearly see his carefree and arrogant face, with no trace of regret.
Her heart ached in an acute sense of loss. She gazed at him in despair as she mumbled in a low and bitter tone, "I see… So, that's how it is. You were just a traitor in disguise."
Gav chuckled cynically as he replied, almost reaching to Aylin, still lowering his sword, "Princess, it was my duty to make you believe that I am your friend. I was never really loyal to you or King Richard. How can a Fintan's spy be friends with the Princess of Arcelia? Doesn't it sound extremely odd?"
Stella couldn't stay quiet anymore.
