The moment Aylin left the hall two guards stormed into the hall in urgency. As one of them asked in his throaty voice.
"Where is the new flower maid?"
Cara asked in a confused tone, "Who?"
Mrs. Lui also opened her eyes with a puzzled expression.
The guard answered again in his formal and urgent voice, "Miss Aylin… She has been ordered to serve in the tea event."
"Aylin? That new girl?"
Mrs. Lui asked in her confused tone, half-sitting on that comfortable futon. The guard sounded impatient as he replied in an irritated tone, "Yes… Kindly, send her with the other flower maids in the Lavender lawn."
Mrs. Lui felt suspicious. It never happened before that Imperial guards came in search of any particular maid. She sat on the futon curiously as she asked again, "Who has passed this order? She is a new maid with zero experience. What if she makes any mistake? Who would take the responsibility?"
