Chereads / Demonic Samsara / Chapter 48 - Snow White

Chapter 48 - Snow White

While Xander upheld the rule of never revealing a client, Risk didn't. Or more like, she couldn't. She had kidnapped Morel Trent from his mansion and brought him to Avera. Risk threw him on the floor. He was wrapped in threads.

'S-so, will you let me go?'

Risk said nervously. The next second, she was merely a pool of blood on the wall. Avera had no intention of leaving her alive. Her attention then turned to the Lord on the floor. With Risk's death, the threads keeping him bound were released.

Morel stood up and marched toward Avera, followed by grabbing the side of her coat.

'You kid! You think you can do anything you want, huh? I've had enough of this! I'll kill you right here and right now!'

The Lord took a swing at Avera, but it was easily dodged.

(Is this guy an idiot or what? Didn't he see that I completely turned that assassin into a bloodstain? What's more, is that this guy's skill is so not impressive. He's just putting mana into each punch. Bah! It's so little too. Why did I ever choose such a guy to be my Lord?)

Avera thought while effortlessly dodging each punch Morel threw at her. She didn't want to kill him. Not yet, anyway. She swung her leg under his causing him to trip. He landed on the floor, like a mat, face first.

'Gah!'

The vampire knelt and grabbed Morel by his hair, directing his face toward hers. There was a two-inch distance between their faces.

'I don't think you understand your situation, scum. You will die for your attempt to kill me.'

'Shut up, you're just a kid!'

He threw another punch at her, however, it never connected. Avera tapped his arm slight before it started to twist and turn, distorting itself. It became a bloody mess. Morel screamed at the top of his lungs.

'AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!'

Avera stood up, glaring at Morel.

'Since you're going to die anyway, I'll tell you two things. Firstly, I think you should know what's going to kill you. One of my Singularities is Transfiguration. As long as I touch the object, I can instil mana into it and change its shape. Though it does have its drawbacks.'

She clicked her fingers. His right hand broke followed by another scream, but not as loud as the last one.

'Secondly, I'm not a kid. I'm over 5000 years old, and I've always been ruling over the Scarlet Family. My full name is Avera Dracula Scarlet. Maybe that will make you understand your situation.'

Morel's eyes looked like they were ready to fall out. He glanced at Avera.

'D-Dracula? As... in the V-Vampire Prog-genitor...'

'I see you know. Well, that doesn't matter. You're going to die all the same.'

'W-wait, please!'

◈◈◈

There was a knock on Avera's door.

'Come in.'

She said. The door opened. A black-haired boy walked in, followed by Avera's maid, Saxon, and a white-haired, blue-eyed, girl. Altair, the boy, surveyed the room. It was bloody. He then laid eyes on the body on the floor, its limbs looked like a spider's broken legs. Altair felt the need to vomit, but he held it in.

'I see you've finally brought me a person to suck, Saxon.'

Avera said, smiling, completely ignoring Altair.

'Before I couldn't find one but I let you suck mine.'

'And it was shit. So, who's this girl?'

Saxon moved the girl forward in front of Avera. Avera took a closer look at the girl. The girl was taller than her. She looked like a teen. Her hair was the same colour as snow while her eyes were the same colour as sapphires.

'What's your name?'

'I don't have one.'

The girl looked empty when she said that. Avera noticed this. She scratched her head and looked around the room. Her eyes then laid upon Altair, who was on the verge of vomiting.

'Hey.'

Avera moved the body out of the way and talked to the girl.

'Would you mind being a servant? We'll treat you right, and pay with you with food and a place to eat.'

The girl looked content. Her cheeks flushed red. Avera then directed her speech toward Altair.

'Altair. Enter a contract with this girl.'

'What?! Why should I?'

He asked, overcoming his urge to hurl. The vampire pointed at him and gave a peerless smile.

'Because you'll be my new Lord.'

Altair froze for a second. He tried to assess her words once more.

'Wait? Isn't the Lord like the person who runs the village?'

Avera nodded.

'And you expect me to run it?'

She nodded once more. Of course, Altair would feel confused. He was summoned to another world, then faced death once more and is now asked to lead a whole village. For him, this whole exchange was happening too fast.

'Let me rephrase it.'

Altair suddenly started to shiver. He was getting blasted with killing intent. She was trying to say that if he didn't, he would die.

'Okay, okay, okay! You don't need to rephrase it.'

He walked over to the girl and knelt. Using Appraisal, he entered a contract with the girl. Altair didn't think it would work though. He has only formed a contract once before, and that was with Sakurako. It worked when his favorability had been at a high stage, but since he had just met this girl, he didn't know how it would turn out.

In the end. It still worked. The girl accepted the condition. Now, the only thing left would be her name.

'What should I name her?'

Altair asked.

'I don't know, you choose. She'll be your servant.'

Altair winced.

'That's only because you forced me to. So... Let's see...'

He looked at the girl. He said the first interesting name that came to mind.

'How about Akari?'

'No, something else.'

(Geez, if you're going to decline then don't ask me to name her. I guess I should go for something simple.)

Altair then thought of a simpler name.

'How about Snow White? Snow can be her first name and White can be her second name.'

He looked at the girl. The girl nodded. He typed in "Snow White" and confirmed it. With that, the girl's new name was Snow White and Altair was the Lord of Paragon Village, with a terrible twist.

(At least now I don't have to travel around the world. This will make things easier but harder. Man, I never wished to be a Lord, but if I declined then I'd be dead. I think.)

Altair still had his doubts, but he tried to live with it.
