In the plain's region, humans have multiple cultures and heritages. There are rumors and theories that there are more unknown cultures and heritages in the wider world and in the unexplored parts of the plain's region. The current know plains region is divided into four big sections. North, south, east, and west.
In the West area, once lay a large and ever-expanding Sect called the Dragon Empire Sect. A sect that focuses on their heritage of Draconic nature. This large sect generations ago spread their newfound religion, the one true faith as they called it. The Draconic Lore was spread through force and blood, replacing the old religions that humans used to have.
As power centralized, this religion become one of the founding principles that rulers used to build their political strength. But generations go on and those that did not achieve immortality die out. The sect lost its grip on its conquer territories, rebellions follow, and the sect became but a shadow of its former self.
This sect's eastern holdings broke away as well. Forming multiple clans and sects that are slowly finding their own images. The eastern part of the plain's region is not as centralized as the west. Meaning that there are still large portions of open land that haven't been conquered or cultivated.
But is not as if these lands are empty of people, no, in fact, they are full of people. Humans and goblins alike rule these lands as nomadic clans, a smaller portion of these people being part of a settled clan. In one of the eastern regions, is a low-QI area called the Green Sea.
A large open area with green forest and fertile plains. The people that rule these lands are nomadic humans of fey heritage. This specific group of humans has a greater chance of self-reforming into an elf or being born as an elf. So, it's not hard to find mortals that are born as elves.
This large area is home to multiple different cultures and clans, but they are named and classified as Elven Culture. These people are known to ride and tame the monsters of the wild. Which they use as beasts of burden or as monsters for war.
With a natural affinity for nature and the world, these people are great hunters and scouts. Theirs preferred way of fighting against those that dare to cultivate and civilize their lands is guerilla tactics. Using their knowledge of the land to their advantage, the settled sects, and clans that like fighting in big open fields with armies facing each other never come back to their clans or sects intact. But as bodiless heads.
These nomadic peoples still worship an old religion, native to the eastern part of the plain's region. The religion is named "Myetallshu". An old religion that has been wiped out in the centralized portions of the plain's region. The elven people like diving themself into clans, composed of multiple small tightly united families.
The larger the clan, the more resources they have, the more cultivators they control, and the more monsters are at their beck and call. These large clans don't fight with each other but try to maintain the balance of the area and unite to fight against the centralized clans and sects.
These clans only meet when a certain god of theirs makes their presence known.
In their religion, they worship two groups of gods. The Lords of Gold and The Kings of Silver. Gold has a domain overall life, a god with multiple changing faces and bodies. A God of the family.
Small sculptures of gold are made of this God when there is a birth, a death, or an important milestone in someone's life. Silver is the God of the world and nature. Their silver sculptures are made whenever the clan moves locations, a new season arrives, or a natural disaster hits the clan or area.
The elven people value silver over gold, as The Kings of Silver have a higher standing in their mythos. But there is a third and final God in this religion, one that is not worship but fear, one that only appears before dark times. These God sculptures are not made with it in mind, but when craftsmen or craftswomen's minds become foggy with future visions.
Only to awaken from their foggy state with a copper female sculpture in their hands. Fear settles into their very souls, as they warn their clan leader of what they have made with tears in their eyes. The clan leader will grab the sculpture as they will call for the head of all the elven clans to gather. To discuss and unite.
That is exactly what happen 2 days ago. When after a weird shockwave that spread across the area, a craftswoman of the Ayangyn Clan's mind becomes full of fug. As the women spend a whole day crafting only to come out of her tent in distress and fear. Her clan Leader, a woman with yellow hair and bright orange eyes, saw the sculpture and called for the clan's heads to meet.
Today is the day, the other clans' heads all gather in a central luxury-looking tent. Guards, and cultivators of the Warrior rank protect the tent with their bounded monster and weapon in hand. The leader of this meeting is the clan head of the Ayangyn clan.
The woman with bright yellow hair that reached to her feet looked at the other clan heads. Her orange cold eyes shone with a weird light. The woman is wearing a beautifully crafted yellow and orange Deel. Traditional clothing to the elven people.
Next to the woman is a savage lizard-like monster, with yellow scales, sharp claws, and teeth. Its eyes are yellow gems stones full of lighting power and QI. This is known as a 'Lighting High Lizard', a very strong second reform of an Elemental Lizard. Within the elven people's cultures, the bonded monsters are a representation of the elf's true self and personality.
The woman, whose earth name is Topazyn Davs, spoke with the dignity of a leader and the strength of a General Cultivator
"Thank you all for gathering here, today I present you this, an omen of copper"
Topazyn said, as she presents and places in the middle of the group, a copper sculpture of a woman. The woman is beautifully crafted, wearing a well-crafted and divine-looking set of armor. The woman is sitting with her legs crossed, a bow on her lap, and an arrow in her right hand. A short sword in her left hand.
The woman has her eyes close, making the people in the room sigh in relief. As if she had her eyes open it will mean that war is immediate. Close eyes mean that war is approaching. The woman that the sculpture is depicting is The Empress of Copper. The Goddess of War and Death and the last god of the Ayangyn religion
Unlike the other two gods that have a changing form, Copper always shows herself in the same form. A woman with a bow and sword, with divine armor, and in a sitting position. As the clan heads stop looking at the sculpture, they look at Topazyn, as she pushes forward a shaking Elf woman.
The mortal woman, that has been blessed to be born as an elf. With long pointy ears and everlasting youth, could not help but shake in the presence of all these strong General Stage cultivators. With a shaking voice she spoke, her mind focusing on the visions she had while crafting the sculpture.
"Hunger….Hunger will consume all…An increasing corruption….the mark of death in our skins….we lose….we escape…and we change…but there is also….the change to win…to push back the hunger and remain true."
As the craftswoman stopped speaking, she went back to hiding behind her clan head. As the voices of the cultivators started to overlap and mix. They were discussing the possible meaning of the visions. But one thing stuck out to them.
"Undecided"
"A shaking future"
"A melting future"
So far, all visions of copper so far have been of the elven people winning and coming out stronger than before. But for the first time, the chance of them losing is upon them. A changing future can be very scary and a bad omen.
As it means that if they fail it would be their fault and future generations will know them as weak leaders that could not clear the way of the fuggy and undecided future. But the voice of Topazyn broke through the mess of voices, her right hand slowly petting the head of her trusted and bounded monster.
"This hunger from the visions is what has me the most worry…"
'Uh? That is your worry face?'
Though one of the leaders when looking at Topazyn cold and unchanging face.
"I only know of one hunger that can declare war on us"
"You don't mean…."
"Yes, the [Hunger Corruption] is making its move and we must be prepared to combat those monsters. I declare that we must all unified and prepare defenses for this war, to start large-scale mobilization of the clans, and commence trading and diplomatic talks with the settled clans"
But before the rest of the clan heads could speak, Topazyn snaps her fingers, pure lighting coming from her fingers and voice. The room becomes electrified with her QI.
"If you wish to challenge my ruling, come out and fight me! I won't let any of you weaklings lead our people astray!"
Like that the nomadic clans of elven people started to prepare for war, their future unsure and undecided for the first time ever. As the chains of fate are now weak and breaking.
