The city of Hamju was finally able to breathe. As the final monster is slain, its red blood paints the ground. Its lifeless body hit the ground and the guards of the city cheered in happiness. For 3 days this city has been under siege by the monsters of the forest.
It also has been 6 days since Fen has seen his lady, he just hopes she is doing well.
'My lady was right, her fight with that strong monster did cause a monster attack on the city'
Fen thought to himself as he puts his sword back into its scabbard. Next to him is the
governor of this city, Hu Heng. As Heng swings his spear to the side, removing any access blood that the blade might have collected. As the blood paints the ground in the shape of a half-circle. He turns to Fen, a smile on his face.
"Thank you once again for your help Fen"
"Ha! It was my pleasure to help your city"
"We should return to the city then; I wish to give my thanks to the young lady"
Heng said, still in the dark that Zhihui is not in the city. Fen sighs to himself, as he turns to Heng, ready to tell him the truth. Till the loud sound of trumpets echoes through the farmland. It was a signal, that something was approaching the city. In seconds, both commander stage cultivators turn to face the forest. Weapons out and ready.
But their greater eyesight notice that what was coming out of the forest was not monsters. But two humanoid shapes, one of the figures was carrying the other with their shoulder. Showing how strong they must be to carry a full human being with only their right shoulder.
The walking figure is wearing a black mask. Black pants with edges made of golden silk and a black shirt with designs made of golden silk. The person on this man's shoulder is a woman with long flowing black hair and tan skin. Wearing a beautiful royal-like red dress with petals and flowers made of golden silk. A pair of loose red, with gold decorating her waist.
Both cultivators knew who the woman is, there is no cultivator in this sect that does not know the face of the previous heir, the young lady of the clan and sect, Wu Zhihui. Heng's face turns dark and serious as he sees what seems to be an insect-looking head hanging from the young lady's right hand.
"Fen…what it's the meaning of this and who is that man?"
"I think my lady should explain all of that"
Fen said as he bows down slightly, in an apology. As the two cultivators slowly wait for the couple to arrive in front of them. As the two groups stand face to face, Mors puts Zhihui down softly. As her feet touch the ground, she launches the head of the dead hivemind at the feet of the two cultivators. The tone of a ruler escapes her lips.
"This is the head of an old-world corruption leader. A warrior rank 5 monster. I and my husband dealt with it a day ago"
Such information overloads the mind of the governor, only snapping back to reality after shaking his head and organizing his thoughts.
"Excuse me young lady…but can you explain what you are talking about?"
Zhihui's eyes shine as she spoke, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Well on my way here I heard the rumor of a strong monster in the forest. So I went ahead with my husband, the man next to me, to the forest to hunt this monster. Turns out the monster was the leader of an old-world corruption like [Evolution]"
She stops to gather her breath as she continues, wrapping her arm around Mor's shoulders she brings him closer to her.
"I and my husband deal with the thing and its large armies. Killing it and ending its corruption, we also found a spirit crystal mine. We claim its treasures and I am planning to give it to my father so he can deal with it"
As both Fen and Heng hear this information, they could not help but look at the couple with open mouths. But Heng had a very important question to ask. The most important piece of information.
"My lady you got married!? What!? Since when!?"
"Um..like a week ago"
"By the Celestial Dragon! Sir Fen you allow this to happen!?"

Fen stops as he looks at Mors, he could not deny his character. He is a good nature man with strength and arrogance. The fact that he fought side by side with Zhihui against a force that was much stronger than them and did not run away, just emphasizes his good character.
"This man, Xiong Ming, is a cultivator of great strength, talent, and character. For now, he is qualified to stand next to our lady"

The ring of the system in their ears proves that Fen at least approves of the marriage somewhat. The Draconic Lore preaches that we must be our best selves. Strong in face of evil, confident in oneself, and good moral sense. He hates to admit it, but Mors does go along with the temple teachings. But this does not mean he completely approves of this marriage; he still needs to do further testing of Mor's character and morals.
As Heng hears this he could not be any more surprised than he could, his heart beating at insane speeds. But the lady isn't finished yet.
"I also got my talents back, so I will be fighting for my right as successor. I was wondering if you will support me, Heng"
Those were the words that finish Heng, as he falls to the ground and passes out. His mind, better than any mortal, has been overloaded with all this heaven-shattering information. Smoke came from the top of his head, as Mors spoke, looking at Zhihui.
"I think you kill the poor guy, maybe drip feed him information next time"
"Ah….good suggestion"
