After his cultivation, Mors smiles a bit. He was slowly getting more and more fate points. The moment he gets a good daily amount of fate points, things will become so easy. While looking forward to the future, he went and started to explore the cave that wolves used to call home, with a crudely made torch.
The cave is dark and damp, the heavy smell of monster and blood enters his nose. As he explores the cave, he sighs in disappointment. The cave only had a monster and humanoid bones, no cool treasure, artifact, or cultivation technique.
"Look like I was expecting too much from this cave"
After leaving the cave, disappointed, he started to go deeper into the forest. As such another week went by. Like always he spends the week hunting and cultivating. The most common monster on this side of the forest was Monkeys and Bears. Having a greater base stat than the wolfs and deer of the midsection.
Of course, they also had a better rank, ranging from 6~ 7. with this came more points, as now he earns 66 points every day. Mounting to a total of 462 points for the week. This non-self-reform monster had no value to him, so he did not cut them down for materials.
During this week, his rank went from 5 to 6. His stats increased by 1 from cultivation. Now that he is within a solid range of the maximum, he decided to store his points for now. With 3 more [Earth] treasures he will reach the max, all thanks to the boost effect from the event.
Mors bites the meat he has on his hand with force. He chews on the meat, its juices, and QI flowing to his stomach. Of course, this is the Lighting Wolf meat, with the little QI that is still in the meat, it helps him a bit when it comes to increasing his rank.
He eats the meat in peace, as the monsters in here have come to fear him. They knew only another ruling class monster could pose a challenge. So, they left him alone when they could, of course, if they were unlucky enough to meet him in the wild. Only death will await them.
After eating his meal and cleaning his hand on a nearby tree. He stood up, not to look for the ruling monster. But to practice and learn a new martial art. He found the ruling monster of this section 2 days ago, a large bear with black fur.
Patches of its fur cover in shining black stone. Its claws were large and sharp. Its teeth are strong enough to break through stone. This is known as a Black Stone Bear, from what he knows this is a very strong race from the bear family.
Having better defense and attack than the normal self reforming. Mors looks at his fate points as he buys a bow and arrows for 200 fate points. With his remaining points, he buys a 300 sword called the [Fine Steel Sword]. Soon a black bow, with a strong body and a string lays in his hands, an arrow quiver made from the same black wood, and an animal leather follow soon.
He places this on his ring for now, soon a well-crafted sword lands in his hand. The sword is light to the touch, its body sharp and straight. He could see what seem to be the initials of the forger on the handle of the sword, was this sword already a thing before he bought it? Or was it created by the system?
He could only put such tough on the sideline as he replaces his old sword with this new sword, the old sword finding its new home inside of the ring. He soon takes out of the quiver and the bow, today he will be learning a bow martial art.
His only ranged attack is the [Soragui], but he is running out of spears and wish to hold on to the last spear till he can buy spears in a human settlement, it is not cost-effective to spend 100 points for a spear he will soon break. But with a bow and arrow, he can now attack enemies from a greater distance.
Mors loads an arrow on the bow, as he pulls on the string, he gathers some of his QI around his arm and on the arrow itself. He soon aims it sky-high as he waits for a bird to fly by. As a red bird enters his vision, Mors shoots it with the arrow. As the arrows get released from the bow, it sinks Mor's feet into the ground.
The arrow flies at freighting speed, as the arrow and the birds meet. A large explosion could be heard across the forest. As bird guts, and feathers rain on the ground. The explosion is so strong that it created a new air current for a while.
Mors smile as he repeats this for a couple more minutes, wasting 10 arrows. Sadly, the arrows did not survive the explosion. At the end of this training section, his fingers were sore and some of his skin have been peeled off.
