About a Week Later
I went out one night to go to the Minimart. As I browsed I reached out to grab some Instant Noodles, then I heard a familiar voice from my right. I looked and saw the woman from before.
She smiled as she approached me. "Why Hello There, I didn't expect to see you here, What are you looking for?" she asked curiously. She glanced over at the Cup Ramen I was about to reach for a her eyes glistened. "Ah those noodles are really good, not too healthy though". She chuckled. I blinked in response. "Say, if your not busy, Would you like to come over to My Place?" she asked. "Uh…" I stuttered. " I'm going to be making dinner as well if your hungry, My Treat, as a Thanks for your Help a few days ago!" she happily exclaimed. "No Thank you, You don't need to Thank Me like that." I replied finally. "Well I would be more than happy to-" she insisted. "How about at your place then?" she asked. My eyes widened at her request.
No matter I refused her, she still forced me to have dinner with her.
Even when I tried to politely decline she insisted, I can tell she was very determined to share her Gratitude with me regardless of my answers.
…
Eventually I end up in her house with her sister, and it's coincidentally that her sister is my classmate, Aria. Actually we're not close, even she doesn't know my name. But she realizes that I am her classmate by my face.
I may have had a feeling that she wasn't so fond of me. "Manners Aria". The woman spoke sternly. She proclaimed that she should not only be kind though also that I was the one who helped save her. Even so she her gaze drifted away from me. I stood there motionless. I didn't want to impose either so I stayed still until the woman kindly led me onwards.
"I hope you enjoy, don't be shy and eat as much as you'd like, A Balanced Meal is Good for you!" she smiled.
"Thank you.." I replied.
She glanced at me and seemed to read my expressions perfectly. "Can't have Cup Ramen everyday now can we." She joked. I jolted and raised my eyebrow. She is very observant. "I do not." I proclaimed. "Who would want to eat stuff like that all the time anyway". I grimaced.
"Of course not," I answered, "who the heck eat that thing every day?" I said with a bit of annoyance.
Aria ate quietly on the other side of the table, she had on earbud in her ear half listening to our conversation. "Well if that's the case, I'm sure you wouldn't mind eat over here on occasion then". She grinned. My and Aria's head jolted upwards to look at her. " Your kidding…" Aria spoke with clear frustration. The woman's eyes glistened once more. "I insist". She smiled.
I jumped up from the table, finished my glass of water and spoke. "Thank you so much for the meal, though I'm fine. You don't need to do that. Now,…if you will excuse me." I grabbed my belongings and headed towards the door. "It's late, I should head home, Thanks for inviting me again, well then, Good Night." I exited out the door without turning back.
I arrived back home sometime later. After a shower and changing into my pajamas I plopped onto my bed. "Why did she care about me so much…??" I just couldn't understand why. I shoved my face into the pillow. When I lifted my head, I felt tears rolling down my face, I rolled onto my back and stared at the ceiling, my face warm and tears cool. I wiped my tears off on my arm, though that didn't stop them from falling. I felt a indescribable feeling. I laid their for a while, finally closing my tear filled eyes, I felt them fall for a while longer before drifting off to sleep.
