"Why the fuck are you screaming at the top of your lungs at 7am in the morning?"
A voice groans from beside her (or should I say him...?).
It's at this moment that Yuying realizes she's not alone.
She immediately bunches up her blankets to hide her embarrassingly visible hard-on and whips her head around to see who it is.
There's a guy in the bed across from her. He's murmuring curses under his breath as he sits up from his bed.
Yuying blinks when she notices just how long and straight the guy's hair was. It was so long that it went way below his waist. Heck, his hair was even longer than hers.
The guy looked as though he'd walked right out of a Pantene commercial.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" the guy asks as he cocks his head to the side. Yuying can't help but think that he looks like a confused kitten with his cat-like eyes.
"Where..." Yuying trails off as she scans her surroundings. They're in a relatively spacious room with three beds and three chests. There are a bunch of papers and books stacked up on the floor, as well as three boards that'd been kept away at the side. They appeared to be foldable tables of some sort.
Yuying takes a moment to absorb her surroundings before she attempts to speak again. "Where am I?" she asks.
"Huh?" the guy replies, visibly confused. His long, silky black hair was falling slightly over his face as he moved. "Are you kidding me right now?"
/I sure wish I am./
"You're Qilin Academy's top student," the guy huffs, "You know this place better than anyone else does."
/Qilin Academy?/
/Is that where I am?/
"Oi, why the fuck are the two of you making such a racket?"
Just then, a voice comes from the third bed. Yuying had been so stunned by her situation that she hadn't noticed another guy in it.
His hair was slightly shorter and much wavier than that of Pantene commercial guy's. Yuying didn't know why, but he kind of reminded her of a Golden Retriever puppy with his big and round eyes.
"It seems like Ming'er woke up this morning with amnesia," the other guy jokes.
/Ming'er?/
/Is that my name?/
"Amnesia?" the Golden Retriever guy repeats, visibly amused. "You've been getting pretty sassy lately, Chen Jun."
/Chen Jun?/
"And whose fault is that, Ruofei?"
/Ruofei?/
"What, do you want me to apologize for influencing you with my sexiness or something?" Ruofei scoffs as he flips his hair, "I'm sorry, but I won't apologize for what I can't help."
Chen Jun immediately goes red in the face. He doesn't even seem to be able to defend himself as his lips look like they're having a seizure.
"Y-You...!" he splutters.
Judging from their long hair and the furniture in the room, Yuying figures that she must be in some sort of ancient Chinese universe.
As such, Yuying is extremely amused by the spectacle of two ancient Chinese men bickering back and forth. She'd always thought that there were all serious and stoic based on the Chinese Literature that she has studied and the Chinese dramas that she has watched.
"Anyway, I digress," Ruofei hums as he turns to Yuying, "So, Mr. Star Pupil, what seems to be the problem today? I can't say that you've gotten up on the wrong side of the bed seeing that you're still in your bed."
Yuying immediately scrambles for something to say.
/How would a 20 year old girl stuck in a random ancient Chinese man's body talk to her- I mean, his friends?/
/C'mon, put yourself in the shoes of an ancient Chinese man, Yuying- I mean, Ming'er.../
/I'm Ming'er now.../
"Ah..." she scratches the back of her head awkwardly, at the same time realizing that her hair was just as long as theirs. She tries her best to conceal his surprise as she makes out her reply. "It might've been something I ate last night..."
"No way," Ruofei huffs, "We all ate the same thing last night, remember? Besides, they were top-quality osmanthus cakes from Shanbi Province delivered to the us students at the academy by the Imperial Palace!"
"They're delivered to us by His Majesty, Emperor Zhao, to be exact," Chen Jun remarks.
Just then, he turns to Yuying.
"Your father," he adds.
Yuying fails to hide her shock as she widens her eyes.
/Huh?!/
/His Majesty, Emperor Zhao?!/
/My father...?!/
Yuying is momentarily overwhelmed by the flood of information. She feels like he needs to sit down, but she's already sitting on the bed. Maybe she needs to lie back down instead.
"Oh man, the osmanthus cakes from Shanbi Province are the best," Ruofei sighs happily as he rubs his belly, a satisfied smile on his face. "It's too bad that we only get them once in a blue moon."
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder," Chen Jun shrugs.
"Oh my God, Chen Jun," Ruofei snorts, "You did not just...oh my God, I'm really rubbing off you, huh?"
Yuying can't help but blush slightly at Ruofei's choice of words. She chides herself internally for reading and writing so many dirty fanfics that her mind practically belongs to the gutter now.
Speaking of dirty, Yuying glances under her blanket and internally groans. Her stubborn hard-on was still there.
"Anyway, it's good that we're up early," Chen Jun adds, ignoring Ruofei's remarks. "They serve the best breakfast in the morning, and the early bird catches the worm."
"Chen Jun!!!" Ruofei shrieks. He's laughing so hard that he rolls off his bed and crashes onto the floor. Yuying flinches slightly at the sound.
Yet, Ruofei doesn't seem the slightest bit bothered. "T-That's two phrases in a row, and it's only seven-something in the morning!" he cackles.
Yuying finds Ruofei's hysterical reactions to everything that Chen Jun seems to do and say rather amusing.
"Alright, that's enough," Chen Jun hums, "Let's get going."
"A-Ah, you guys go ahead," Yuying stutters. She makes an effort to make her voice sound slightly pained. "I'm feeling a little under the weather, so I'll stay here and rest for a bit more."
"Are you alright?" Ruofei asks, his voice turning somber. Yuying is surprised at how he can go from cheery to serious in the blink of an eye. "You've been unusually quiet this morning."
"I'm fine, don't worry," Yuying reassures her friends, "I just didn't sleep very well last night. I just need to catch some more shut-eye."
"Alright then, take care and rest well," Chen Jun hums. "Do you want us to get you anything? Perhaps some breakfast and some medicine at the infirmary?"
"No, it's alright," Yuying smiles, "I don't really have an appetite now."
Chen Jun nods. "Alright, we'll get going first then. See you."
Chen Jun and Ruofei exit the room after waving their friend goodbye. Yuying hears Ruofei telling Chen Jun that they should still get some breakfast and medicine for her even though she said that she would be fine until they were out of earshot.
Yuying immediately fumbles out of bed as soon as she couldn't hear their footsteps anymore. She desperately attempts to use her long sleeves to cover up her raging hard-on.
Yuying tiptoes over to the sliding door and pokes her head out. It was a long hallway with rooms.
Yuying makes sure that the coast is clear before creeping out. Just then, she passes by what looks like a toilet. She immediately goes inside.
Yuying furrows her brows at the sight before him. It was the least ancient Chinese-looking ancient Chinese toilet that she has ever seen. In fact, it looked more like a shared toilet in a university dormitory with a splash of ancient Chinese elements.
Yuying makes sure that there's no one else in the toilet before going into one of the stalls.
She turns red when she realizes that she has to disrobe so that she can take a bath.
/C'mon, you got this...it's just a man's body...it's not like you haven't seen shirtless men in magazines and at the beach..."
Yuying gulps.
/But this isn't a shirtless man we're talking about...it's a naked man.../
Yuying flushes again.
/Ugh, c'mon, get yourself together. You got this. Just close your eyes and don't look.../
And so, Yuying closes her eyes as she fumbles to remove her long and flowy clothes. As soon as they were off, she carelessly hurls them behind and assumes that they were now draped across the door.
With her eyes still closed, Yuying gingerly inches forward and feels for the tap. She turns it on as soon as he feels it.
It's a big mistake.
"FUCK!" she shrieks. The water was ice cold.
She's flapping his arms around so much that something that was flopping around smacks the back her hand.
It's the last thing that she wanted to touch.
Yuying shrieks again.
...
After a harrowing cold shower, Yuying puts her clothes back on with her eyes shut and staggers out of the shower. She looks like she's been through hell and back.
Just then, she spots an ancient Chinese-styled mirror on the wall. Yuying furrows her brows as she approaches it.
She immediately widens her eyes as though she hasn't already widened her eyes enough for the day.
Yuying studies her new face intently. She has thick eyebrows and almond-shaped eyes that were a lighter shade of brown than that of typical Chinese men. Her hair is so long and wavy that it reaches the dimple of her back. Still, it isn't as long as Chen Jun's, or as wavy as Ruofei's.
Yuying lifts her hand up to touch her face. She captures some of the flesh on his cheek between her fingers and starts pulling at it as though it's a mask that she can take off.
Except that it's not.
/Oh my God./
/This is actually happening.../
/I'm actually a guy./
Just then, Yuying recalls what Chen Jun had said earlier.
/I'm not just a guy./
/I'm the son of the Emperor./
/I'm a Prince./
