Christian and CJ appear in a scene so familiar to them.
It is a black-and-white duplicate of the town of Splendido.
There are no dancespores to speak of, but...
Only the two are there, and no one else.
Christian comments, "Looks like something straight from an RPG Benoit once spoke to me one time. There was only an empty monochrome world, and the protagonist was all alone there... until big weird eyes started to attack them."
CJ reacts, "But at least we have each other to depend on."
E. J. issues a challenge via his voice that resounds in this monochrome place.
"I have a challenge for you, Mr. Dumb Muscle and Ms. Weakling Princess. It's simple, really. You must save the town without any help from Benoit or anyone else."
Shedding off her frail princess image, CJ makes an indignant pose, with her arms at her side and her clenched fists pointing outward.
"Well, duh! That task you're about to give us is already a fait accompli."
