"Why can't you look at each other in the eye?" Aiden asked this as they were eating breakfast the next day. He had visited early on a Sunday morning because he and Cedric were going on a trip abroad for work.
Rosie knew her cheeks had turned bright red and she quickly drank some water to try and cover it. Cedric, on the other hand, looked like he wanted to kill Aiden. The two had been acting like last night never happened. And they would have succeeded if Aiden hadn't called them out on it.
Looking bemused at their strange behavior, Aiden asked, "What? Did something happen last night? Did you guys finally sleep together?"
"No!" they both shouted together.
Rosie glanced at Cedric, "God, no. I'll never sleep with my boss."
"Get your head out of the gutter," Cedric snapped at his best friend. "She's the last person I'd want to sleep with. And what the hell did you mean 'finally?'"
