Rosie stared out the window shield while Cedric drove them to the movie theater. Her boss had ordered her down the parking lot immediately as soon as she finished rendering the required 8-hour work. She made him wait for ten more minutes. She needed the time refresh her make-up and to give herself a pep talk. That this was merely another business relationship with her employer. That they weren't really going out. That this was all just a facade.
But who was she kidding? Didn't she feel a thrill of joy shoot through her when he told her he'd date her?
How she wished this was all true.
