Rosie would have slammed the document holder she was holding on Cedric's head if the doors to his office wasn't open and there weren't people outside.
"What do you mean no?" she hissed, marching closer to his desk. "Why can't I go shopping this weekend with my friend?"
"Do I have to explain myself?" he asked, sounding irate, not even bothering to look up from the papers he was signing.
She nodded furiously. Realizing he couldn't see her with his head still down, she said, "Yes. Please explain."
"But I'd rather not."
"You should," she urged. "I have to give my friend a proper reason why I have to break my promise to go shopping with her."
"I'm certain you can think of something," was his only infuriating reply.
"I'm pretty certain I can't. Like you said, I'm an idiot."
"Miss Conley—."
"I know you're a busy person so just say yes and we'll both be happy."
