Time seemed to have come to a standstill, and everything fell eerily quiet. It felt to Zary as though she had fallen into a space that was filled with some translucent and thick glue which caused everything to be muted and all movements have slowed down to a snail’s pace.
Slowly, Zary swept her gaze around. All that had greeted her eyes was a dim shadowy darkness. It was as though some black dust had spread and suspended all through the air or perhaps a cloud of black mist had gathered low at the source of that growling sound.
Her heartbeat was currently sounding so loud in her own ears as she stared apprehensively at that spot where she felt the growling sounds were coming from. Her mind was already envisioning something utterly horrifying suddenly emerging from that shadowy darkness.
