This dungeon definitely had all the monsters that one could find in the G rank dungeons but it also had one more monster.
This monster was even more stronger than the G rank Brown wolf boss and as such only 10 such beings existed in this massive forest.
This monster also gave the most number of points if killed by a team.
Thus combining both of the above points - one could say that the team who found the monster was both lucky and unlucky.
Lucky if it had the strength to kill it and unlucky if they didnt.
It was the Rank G Black python and currently it was standing in front of Will's team.
"How can we be so unlucky" shouted Ash.
Ren didnt say anything but his face showed he too had the same thought.
The python was looking at the whole team , maybe trying to measure it up.
"Hiss" "Hiss"
"Ren what should we do ?" Alice stood in defence position while asking Ren the question.
".....Well we are 5 and it's just a single monster. If we all 3 attack together, then I guess we may be able to defeat it. Plus we have Miss Nora to heal us. Also, Miss Tracy did say that teachers would be around to help the students, so I guess if the situation becomes dire a teacher would definitely come..."
Ren tightened his hand around his sword. His knuckles were becoming white because of the force with which he was gripping his sword.
"Will try to fire a bolt in it's direction and as soon as it dodges we will attack.Let's go team"
Will fired a bolt in the snake's direction as told and the team rushed towards it.
The snake dodged the bolt easily.
It smirked when it saw the three puny humans coming to attack it. It felt as if 3 rabbits were coming to the lion's mouth to become it's food.
Nora's face was ashen. "You do know that those 3 wont be able to even harm the snake ?" She looked towards Will.
Will had a calm expression on his face.
"Didnt I tell you, that as long as I'm here you wont get harmed ? Plus those three dont have to kill or injure the snake. They just have to make it use it's spell" A smile came on Will's face.
Ash, Alice and Ren after fighting for 2 hours together had developed some sort of chemistry already and such their teamwork had improved a lot.
Further, they had Will to support them from the back.
Whenever any one of them faltered and the snake went to deal the killing blow, Will would launch a blow in its direction and thus the snake had to stop or change its direction so that it doesnt take any damage.
It is true that the snake wouldnt not have been killed by just 1 bolt but that was only known to the team and not the snake as the snake didnt exactly knew how much damage the lightning bolt would do if it hit.
1 minute passed. 2 minute passed. 3 minute passed.
Now the snake was getting pissed.
It had thought that these weak humans would have been an easy meal for it but they were persisting.
The snake, the strongest monster of the dungeon, a being whose mere shadow made other monsters of the forest run away was being handled by a few kids.
This was a big blow to the snake's pride.
It looked at Will with menacing eyes. All his anger for the current event was placed on Will.
This was because whenever it was about to deal a finishing blow to any of the 3 weak humans, Will fired a bolt to prevent it from doing so.
As such it decided to target and first kill Will.
But before that the snake had to grasp the damage that the bolt would do to it.
If the damage was more, the snake would run away but if it would have been less then it would directly attack Will, even if it had to take a few bolts and eat him first.
It tried to kill one of the humans and thus again Will fired a bolt towards it.
This time the snake didnt dodge. It took the bolt head on.
Its body shook for a second and then it returned to normal.
Will after seeing that the bolt had struck fired another bolt but the snake dodged it.
The snake smiled. It now knew that it could take 4-5 bolts more before dying.
Now its whole focus came on Will.
Will currently was breathing really heavily.
'This is bad. It now knows that Will's spell wont damage it much. Further Will seems tired , I guess his mana must be depleted now. Damn, he wont be able to defend us anymore with his spells' Ren thought in his mind.
"Ash, Alice let's use our strongest spell together. Let's go" Ren, Ash and Alice quickly used their spell as the snake's eyes were on Will.
