Alec didn't realize how shaken he was by that ordeal. He stayed in his room as his rattling nerves refused to cool. He went to the bathroom and took a long bath.
Coming out, he felt hungry. He has not eaten anything since morning, and the mental pressure he was experiencing was draining his energy fast.
He left his room and headed to his dad's room and knocked, but no one answered. He then heard his voice from the sitting room. He went to the sitting room and found him seated with Vanessa and Alan's mother.
"Alec, please can we talk?" His father asked. "I need to eat. I'm hungry", Alec said and headed to the kitchen to whip up some food.
"Don't worry, I made brownies. It's in the kitchen", Vanessa said. "Thank you", Alec replied flatly and shoved the brownie tray aside. He wasn't hungry for junk food.
