At first, Alec thought of the possibility that it was Bandile, but he quickly shoved that speculation. Bandile would never visit him this late, plus he was sent away by Arun, which meant that he wouldn't expect him to be here.
Arun? Alec didn't think so. The way the door was opening slowly meant that whoever was trying to enter the house was trying to avoid detection. From the silhouette, the person seemed to be carrying something that looked like a gun.
Alec silently left the chair and crouched silently. The figure entered the parlor and scanned the room carefully. Another figure appeared from the darkness and entered the kitchen.
Seeing no one, the figure dropped his attack stance and turned to the other figure.
"He's not here", he reported.
