A Week Later
Alec prepared to leave for the city. He had an appointment with Roberto and the people that were causing him strife. He packed up all the things he needed to travel, taking only light food items and some money.
As he was about to leave, Arun, along with his father came to his front yard. "Alex, we need to talk", Arun said without smiling. Alec looked up, glanced at him, and ignored him.
"Go on", he said. "A bird told me that you sold our fish to some people from the other village. Is that true?" Michael asked with spite. "And so? What was wrong with selling my fish to another customer? And don't call it our fish", Alec said uninterestedly as he tied his sandals.
"Have you forgotten our agreement? You sell your fish to us, and we take half of the money as the payment of rent. Do you want us to send you away?" Michael hollered with gritted teeth.
