"What's your name?" Alec asked, suddenly feeling guilty for not knowing his name after all this while, but the boy didn't think of it much.
"The name is Bandile, but my mother calls me Prince, which was funny because it contrasted with our situation. A price that couldn't even eat three square meals a day", Bandile said with mockery.
"Bandile, that is a nice name", Alec found himself saying. "Hold on, I thought the fish you take here every day was enough to feed you and your mother for the whole day?" Alec asked when he heard what he said.
"Oh that. We don't eat them, we sell them", Bandile declared as he sat on the bench. "You sell the fish you take here?" Alec asked. "Yes. We were already tired of eating the same thing every time, so I came up with an idea to sell the fish in exchange for something of equal value, which is of course money. I then use the money to buy foodstuffs that we eat", Bandile said.
