As soon as Anthony was done with his last card trick, he sat down and smiled as the children were applauding him. Alec noticed his weariness, and he didn't want him to continue exerting himself with pressure. As soon as the children applauded his next trick, Alec collected the microphone from him and gently nudged him aside.
"That would be all kinds. Happy birthday, Sophie", Alec said, painfully attempting to imitate Anthony's mysterious voice. Thankfully, the children screamed with glee and clapped loudly. Alec smiled and looked at Anthony, who was silently taking his time to catch his breath. "Thank you", he whispered to Alec.
Alec and Anthony walked down the platform and met the blonde lady waiting for them. "That was amazing, really amazing. You even kept me entertained. I didn't know you were this skilled", the blonde girl said with a soft grin.
