Laura was slightly scared by Greg's reaction. She has rarely seen Greg irked by something. This was the third time Greg had been angry about something, and it had never been directed to her.
Although she was mad at him, she felt she had wronged him. Greg had probably waited for this day to come, and she single-handedly wiped that enthusiasm. What was wrong with her?
She wanted to apologize for what she said, but Greg turned around and faaced her. "I took it to myself to hand over this to you. I will not be sending money to you anymore. This was the ring you've always wanted, and this smartphone", Greg said robotically and handed a cheque, a small box, and an iPhone smartphone.
Laura unconsciously gasped when she saw the ring. It was a very rare ring made by a brand company, exceeding $500,000. While she was together with Greg, she had jokingly asked him to buy her the ring while strolling in the jewellery shop. Little did she realized that Greg took this seriously.
