The downpour didn't stop even though Greg had alighted from the plane. It was like the rain clouds were following him. He rushed to a shelter and took out his smartphone. According to the GPS, Laura's apartment wasn't near. It would take aproximately two hours to arrive via a cab.
Without wasting much time, he flagged a taxi and informed him of the location. "Sorry man, I can't go there. That's my off limits", the fat cab driver said groggily.
"I'll give you double of the fare, please take me there", Greg persisted. There were no other cabs on sight as a result of the rain, so Greg didn't want to lose him.
"I'm sorry, but the answer still remains no", the man said and winded up his window. "How about this?" Greg said hastily and took out a wad of cash. The cab man opened his eyes wide in shock. This was the biggest money he had seen at once in his life. "What are you doing...", the cab man was at loss for words. Who was this guy?
