It didn't take long for the impersonator to notice something was amiss. According to the report given to him, Alec was conservative. Although he spoke less, if it was about the interest of their welfare, he would always want his voice to be heard.
It was very much different in this case though. The mother and son ate the pizza in silence. They didn't say much, other than making small remarks about the flavour of the pizza. It was apparent they enjoy it, making Alec's impersonator relaxed. At least his intel wasn't wrong.
Still, 'Alec' was uncomfortable by the silence permeating the air. He wanted to say something to break the silence, but before he could do so, Laura said, "Alex, have you considered our deal?"
'Alec' almost choked on the pizza he was eating. What proposal was she talking about? "Sorry?" He asked with his mouth full. He wanted to stuff as much pizza in his mouth as possible so that he wouldn't speak.
