"Thank you for accommodating me on this three-day journey. I'm grateful", Alec thanked Philani as he made his way out of his house. Since he came here without any luggage, he was free to go anywhere, without a burden.
"There is no problem my son. Listen, what you did back there was very dangerous. You would have gotten yourself killed", Philani said with concern. "But here I am", Alec said with a smirk.
"I know but be careful. We are hostile to new faces, especially the ones that are yellower than theirs", Philani advised him. Alec nodded, and then he remembered something. "What did the king mean when he said that my kind did something to your land?" Alec inquired.
The smile on Philani's face receded. "I wanted to tell you, but I didn't think it was fair for you to know, given your situation when we met. Soon after that, I forgot", Philani explained, pondering.
