With another breath, he took the fifth turn and sped up the car slowly. For over thirty minutes, these cars were still tailing behind him, causing him to worry a little. Even worse, the fuel on the car was almost depleted. It was showing him warning signals to go refill.
"Damn it", Alec gritted his teeth hard. He knew he could not stay on the road forever, so he decided to stop the car anytime soon. He noticed an incomplete building that was under construction. Alec sped up and drove to the building.
When he arrived, he put the car to a halt and came down. Immediately bullets began to fire in his direction. Luckily there was a pillar next to Alec, otherwise, he would have been riddled with holes.
Alec ran into an open space in the building and took out his gun and waited behind a pillar. Just then the gunmen began pouring in. They numbered more than fifteen. This is not good, Alec broke out a sweat as nervousness began to creep inside his heart.
He checked the bullet in his magazine, which had only nine rounds. He inserted the magazine back and closed his eyes. His bullet would only take down nine of these people, which means he would have to engage in a fistfight with the remaining seven.
While he was planning, he noticed something was amiss. The gunmen were unusually quiet. Confused, Alec took out his small mirror from his pocket and placed it at an angle so that he was seeing what was going on at the entrance.
"F**k!" Alec exclaimed as he jumped out of the pillar he was hiding from. Just as he left it, the pillar exploded. If Alec had stayed next to that pillar for a split second, he would have died.
"Fire!" The gunmen began shooting at Alec, who was running for another cover. Bullets keep whizzing past him as he ran. After making another corner, he jumped into a pile of sand and hid.
Then, Alec touched the back of his head, and his hand became bloody. The tiny fragments from the pillar explosion entered his skin, causing it to bleed. Fortunately, the wound was superficial. But the injury burns, which made him uncomfortable.
The gunmen finally arrived at James' hiding location and they spread out. Alec watched them with his mirror as one was coming closer to the pile of sand. Alec began counting down the steps of the gunman's shoe as he brandished his gun. He planned on taking him out and running to the exit at his right
Just as the gunman was three meters away from Alec, he suddenly stopped. "Hmmm", the man grunted and looked around. Meanwhile, there was another gunman approaching Alec's hideout, putting him in a dilemma.
With a clear mind, he recalibrated their positions again. He peered at the man's location again and made a plan. Then, the other gunman resumed walking and began closing the gap between him and Alec.
Before the man reacted, Alec had already pulled the trigger, and shattered the skull of the man from below his chin, spraying blood to the wall. The other man immediately turned around and shoot at Alec, but he was a step too late. Alec rolled over and shot the man perfectly on the forehead.
The rest of the gunmen ran towards the commotion as they sprayed bullets into the pile of sand. By the time they arrived, Alec was gone. The leader gritted his teeth in hatred as he ordered all of his men to chase after Alec.
He would not leave this place until he saw Alec's decapitated body, he swore seriously in his mind. Lately, Alec had killed most of the mafia's hitmen, reducing manpower significantly. Today was the day he dies.
"Give me the launcher", he grabbed the rocket launcher from the gunman and loaded it. He then aimed it at the pillar he suspected Alec would be hiding and fired it. The impact of the blast shook the foundation of the uncompleted building, as huge cracks began to form on the walls.
"Another one!" The man barked. The gunman gave his leader another ammo and loaded it. "Sir, you have to be patient. I don't think he's here. It looks like he went..." one gunman was still talking when the leader suddenly punched him on the teeth, causing the gunman to grunt in pain.
"Say one more word and the only thing that would splatter on the floor would be your brain!" The man screamed in rage. While he was talking, one of his men suddenly dropped down, with a bullet hole on his forehead. Before they could react again, another bullet harvested another life.
Panic began to creep in among the gunman as they began shooting all over the open space. "Stop, stop!!" The leader screamed, but no one was listening to him, as they desperately shot at random directions in a bid to hit Alec.
Amidst shooting, another bullet silently travelled through the air and killed another gunman. Seeing this, they began to retreat out of the room. While outside of the room the leader with an enraged temper, began throwing tantrums.
After venting out all his anger, he calmed down and looked at the room, where Alec was probably hiding. Then he divided his remaining men by twos and spread across the room.
Meanwhile, Alec was in a dilemma. All of his bullets were expended. He silently walked across the room and moved to the next pillar, while keeping tabs on their location.
Just then, the gunmen came into the room again, but this time, they appeared orderly. "I swear to you Santiago, oh help me god if I lay my hands on you. You would see death, but you will not die. I will torture your soul until it breaks, I will peel off your skin bit by bit until you beg for your life..." the leader kept swearing hatefully as he walked into the room with the rocket launcher in his hand.
Alec wanted to run into the next room, but it was blocked by the gunman. Seeing no way of escape, his uneasiness began to creep into his heart slowly. The two gunmen were almost near his hideout.
Damn this game. Does it want to kill me that much? He grabbed the butt of the gun and prepared to fight for his life.
