Chapter 19 - Ch - 19: 1st Training

( Busy with school, that is why I have only updated right now )

After returning to Minato's home, Kushina went to their room while Minato handed Tanjiro a scroll containing D, C, and B-rank jutsus from various categories. He also gave him a chakra paper, as Tanjiro had requested.

"Let me know if you need anything. This should keep you busy for a few months, and if you have any questions, I'm here to help," Minato said.

"I will. Thank you, Minato-san," Tanjiro replied, smiling as he examined the scrolls. Seeing the numerous jutsus and the included hand signs, he felt relieved that Minato had thought to include them.

"Alright, good night, Tanjiro-san."

"Good night to you too, Minato-san. Please tell Kushina-san I said good night as well. She seems tired after being away from home while pregnant."

Minato nodded and headed to their room, where Kushina was waiting.

"Now that I have a scroll full of jutsus, I should buy the Sharingan," Tanjiro thought to himself.

Tanjiro immediately opened his shop interface, browsing through the variety of items available for purchase. He quickly searched for the Sharingan, and a list appeared, ranging from the one-tomoe Sharingan all the way to the Rinnegan. However, he noticed that the Mangekyō Sharingan didn't include well-known abilities like Amaterasu, Kamui, Izanagi, Izanami, or Kotoamatsukami.

Instead, next to the Mangekyō Sharingan, the word "Original" was listed. Tanjiro guessed this meant he would receive unique abilities tailored specifically for him. Remembering a bit about the original work, he knew that the powers of the Mangekyō Sharingan typically manifest from a strong obsession.

Understanding himself well, Tanjiro knew what his deepest obsession was: the desire to free himself and control his own fate, as well as to help others. This meant that his Mangekyō Sharingan's abilities would likely be centered around these two core obsessions.

Somewhere in the forest within Konoha, at Training Ground 14, a vast open space unfolded. Two figures stood facing each other: a five-year-old boy and a young man who appeared to be 25 but was, in fact, 120 years old.

"Itachi, I assume you've already unlocked your chakra?" Tanjiro asked, knowing that with Itachi's prodigious talent and family background, it was almost certain he had done so at an early age.

"Yes, Sensei! I've already unlocked my chakra, but I haven't learned any jutsus yet," Itachi replied in his childish voice.

"Perfect. We'll start by preparing your body for taijutsu. Our goal for the month is to have you complete 1,000 push-ups, run a 100-meter dash in under three seconds, and endure 10 minutes of intense sparring with me."

It might seem overwhelming for a child his age to achieve these feats in just one month, but with the aid of his shop and teaching skills, Tanjiro was confident that Itachi would easily meet these challenges in less than a month.

Itachi nodded, unaware of the arduous path ahead. Tanjiro then instructed him to stretch for at least two to three minutes as a warm-up while he glanced at the Eternal Mangekyō he had purchased the night before.

[ Eternal Freedom Radiance (Jiyū Mugenka) - limitless freedom and the powerful, shining potential to shape one's destiny.

Right Eye Ability: Karmic Mirror - Reflects any attempt to alter the user's fate onto the originator, ensuring that any manipulation of destiny harms the caster instead.

Left Eye Ability: Ego Dominion - Grants absolute control over one's mind and body, making the user immune to external manipulation and ensuring mastery of their own will.

Passive Ability: Fate Severance - Immune to any abilities related to fate or prophecy, automatically allowing them to chart your own path and evade predestined outcomes. ]

Looking at the three abilities of his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Tanjiro was satisfied with what he had received. Even though he didn't get the well-known abilities associated with the Mangekyō Sharingan, he found his unique abilities more than sufficient for the challenges ahead.

He was especially pleased to have obtained the Susanoo. Achieving that towering, powerful form had always been a dream of his, and now, he couldn't help but fantasize about the day he would use it to obliterate the Otsutsuki Clan. Those parasitic beings, who drained the world's life energy through chakra fruits, were a primary target in his mission to prevent their destruction and rid the world of their psychotic influence.

By the time he finished daydreaming, he noticed that Itachi had completed his stretching and was ready to face the challenges Tanjiro had planned. Considering Itachi's young age, Tanjiro assigned him 50 push-ups, a 2-kilometer run with a break every 500 meters, followed by 20 minutes of chakra control exercises.

Itachi immediately began his tasks, while Tanjiro kept a close eye on his first student, guiding him on proper form and breathing techniques.

Of course, Tanjiro didn't share his breathing technique, wanting to see more of his student's potential without relying on external aids.

As he observed the hardworking and focused Itachi, Tanjiro mentally commended the boy's determination and discipline, especially at such a young age. Reflecting on his own childhood, Tanjiro remembered how energetic he had been—always playing at the park, running and jumping with friends, unable to stay still for long. Itachi, however, was entirely different, displaying a level of discipline uncommon for someone his age.

As Tanjiro watched, Itachi completed the assigned tasks, drenched in sweat, his shirt soaked from the workout. Recognizing the boy's effort, Tanjiro used his considerable wealth to purchase an electrolyte drink and a protein bar that was safe for a child, ensuring there would be no side effects.

After a few minutes of rest, Itachi resumed his chakra control training. Tanjiro, satisfied with Itachi's endurance and focus, assisted him by pointing out mistakes that had been overlooked. Despite the harsh and tedious nature of the training, Itachi persisted, further impressing Tanjiro with his resilience.

Even though Itachi was a prodigy, that didn't mean he would easily master everything he trained in. Mastery, especially instant mastery, was unlikely and nearly impossible to achieve. However, with Tanjiro guiding him, Itachi could learn quickly and retain the lessons well, thanks to Tanjiro's exceptional teaching skill, which boosted the learning speed of anyone he taught.

Without noticing the passage of time, it was already afternoon when Tanjiro finally stopped the session. He informed Itachi that they would continue this routine four times a week for physical training and three times a week for studying various subjects, including jutsus, mathematics, science, technology, and more.
