Adarian steered to the left so the canons on the right side were facing the ship on the right, then he ordered the men to fire them. They did so, all at once, and he witnessed the enemy ship take heavy blows, but they weren't through yet.
"Fire again!", Adarian yelled, after a minute of maintaining the same speed as the bigger ship, and when they fired, the helm of the enemy ship was totaled beyond repair already beginning to sink. Adarian then had an idea, and started steering them to directly ram into the side of the larger ship. He didn't see a man climb up the side of the ship, but he did witness his Quartermaster's death. The man was heading towards him, when suddenly a massive wave crashed into the side of the ship, knocking both him and the man overboard, where his vision faded to black.

{POV Switch to First Person}
I suddenly had some memories about my ancestor, Edward, conversing with a woman. Her name was Caroline, and she was worried about him, not wanting him to leave.
Soon enough, Edward convinced Caroline about working as a privateer, but she said two years, and then he has to come back. He gained a look that seemed troubled, and that's where the memory ended.
I then woke up, unable to breath, as I struggled, soon managing to swim to the top of the water, while I noticed all around me that the day had gotten brighter than it was earlier.
"H.... holy shit. I thought I was really going to drown. I need to get to the shore, alright arms, don't fail me now...!", I said to myself, not noticing that, that isn't what origionally happened in Edwards past.
The the sounds of coughing reached my ears, and groaning of a pained man, where I turned to look at. There was the Assassin, again. But I could tell that he wasn't an honorable one, whatsoever.
"Havana.... I must get to Havana. A hundred Reals. Isn't that the sound that you pirates seem to like? Just get me to Havana", He asks, huffing in pain. I frowned deeply to myself. Only a hundred, after trying to kill me?
"Keep talking. You were about to kill me, I think I deserve more than that. You got that money on you now? Or are you just planning on using me, until you have no use of me? And does it look like we have a Ship to sail here?", I sat up, glaring daggers at the man.
The man scoffed, before coughing out loud again. He glared right back, but just as I got up, the man raised a flintlock pistol at me.
"Bloody FUCKING Pirates...!", He yelled, standing up, and just as I expected to feel a new hole to breath in, all there was, was a failed click. The man grit his teeth, before chucking it at me, and sprinting away. "Stay away from me!"
Alright, if that's how he wants to play it, then he just made himself an enemy. I run after him, though making sure I don't tire myself out. After getting across a bridge, I see the man jump and weave around things, like a skilled parkour artist.
I almost thought I would lose him, but suddenly, I had this instinct, this natural skill being presented through my mind, as I found myself scaling walls, trees, and just as I reached a summit, I felt at peace. An Eagle swept by, and as I gazed out, I could see many things. At least twenty chests, a bottle by a skeleton, ships, a map, and finally, the Assassin.
He was leaning against a wall, having sat down, and was nursing his side, his face clearly in great pain. I didn't care though, I would get to him soon. But first, as he is resting, I think I'll go and claim all the loot in those chests.
========================
An hour of looting later, I estimated I found four, maybe five thousand Reals, not including gold, silver, and even Jade items, and a note in a bottle. I carried this is a convinient black bag, made of very durable cloth, and a small amount of leather.
Luckily, when I had made it back, I could still see the Assassin. He had fallen asleep. I couldn't easily make it across to him though.
I was wondering what I would do to get to him, when I remembered a thing my Ancestor said. I had to take a Leap of Faith, in order to become a true Assassin, and while I didn't yet do so myself, I felt I could use this as a practice run.
So, with all the preparation I could do, I threw my bag forward, which was thankfully tied up, and leaped off the post. It was exhilarating, and terrifying at the same time, but it also just felt right.
A few seconds later, I plunged into the water, arms and face first, which was good to do. I swam down to my bag, grabbed hold, and pulled it up and out, setting it on the ledge, then climbing out myself.
"I said STAY AWAY FROM ME!", Yelled the man, awake, and furious, as he aimed a new, but worn gun, and fired. I grunted, as I felt my side get pierced straight through. I was actually lucky in that department.
The man then started sprinting again, going faster than before. I left my bag for now, before sprinting after him, intent in catching this asshole. After running throughout an inhabited jungle, Jaguars being the most dangerous inhabitants so far, I finally managed to catch up to him in a clearing.
"You want a fight, bitch, well you've got one now!", I pulled my slightly banged up swords out from their sheathes, and swung at the man, gaining my usual stance that I did in my life, not Edward's. I definitely felt a lot smoother, and quicker doing so, as the man struggled to fend me off.
He grunted, preparing to parry my next strike, when I countered, ripping his swords out of his hands, and kicked him down onto the ground, face first.
"Guh-! Wait, wait! I can pay you a thousand Reals-", he began, panic across his face, before his eyes turned dull. My more put-together sword had went straight through his jugular, and blood spurted out.
"Should've thought of that before trying to kill me a third time. Keep that as a lesson for your next life.", I said, pulling my blade out, then beginning to unfasten his clothes. Might as well, he's not using it anymore, and it is a lot more elegant than what I've got on now.
After I had dragged his sorry corpse into the underbrush, I gazed at my new outfit. It was Edward's, which he had altered, and upgraded massively, seeing him wearing a ghostly version of it many times already.
Guess it's my turn, then. I stripped naked, trying not to gaze at my Ancestor's body, but regrettably I noticed that we were pretty similar in size comparison. Ay ay aye, that is not what I wanted to see.
I then pulled the outfit on, not having any new and clean underwear to put on just yet, but as soon as I had it over my chest, and the hood over my head, I gazed at the rest of the contents.
There were two pouches, and two hidden blades. sadly, they were broken, damaged beyond my capability to fix them, but that should be just fine, I could pay to have them fixed up.
I grabbed the first pouch, opened it, and inside was a glass cube with what looked like some blood inside, some maps, and a note, to one Duncan Walpole. A pretty stupid name, but I may have use of it yet.
I didn't bother opening the letter yet, instead closing the pouch, and grabbing the other. Inside this one, was a picture of someone famiar, and very beautiful, a note at the bottom saying she must be killed just like the rest of the 'family'. Is this woman an Assassin? It frustrated me not knowing the name, but I somehow knew her face.
I'll figure it out later, first things first is getting off this island. Before I do that however, there are some gold I just collect.
=====================
I walked out of the jungle again, this time with a larger amount of gold. I had nearly stripped this Island clean of it's riches, and as I neared a place where a man and his crew were being nearly killed together by red coated men, I realized there was only a few chests left to get, alongside a map.
I had come out with a total of 12K Reals, and many silver, gold, and Jade items. I could tell I was at least in the top one hundred richest pirates in the seven seas, and I was just starting out.
I left my bag in a brush, noting the five chests left around, as I approached a red coated man, behind him before I could blink, before I quickly killed him, pulling his body into the bush.
I continued this until there was only three of the men left, but regrettably there was only one fat man left, I assume the captain of that ship in the cove.
"Hey! How about you leave that man alone!", I yell out, pulling out my more put together sword, and a sword from one of their comrades.
"Where did you come from, pirate??!", Yelled what looked like the leader, but I ignored him, throwing a dagger that directly hilted in the man's face. The rest of the three living men, yes, including the fat captain, yelped out in fright.
"How about you two leave, and live, or I'll kill you both right now. I'm sure you have families to get back to, don't you?", I questioned. The two men looked at each-other, back at me, then hurriedly nodded, and dropped their weapons, sprinting away into the Jungle behind me. I sighed in relief, having not to kill some more. Sadly, though, I guaranteed them being mailed by the Jaguars in there. I was proven right as I heard screams.
"Are you alright, sir?", I asked the man, lending a hand out, and he breaks out into a relieved smile, accepting it. I pull him to his feet, before walking back to my bag of riches, quickly looting the other chests, and finally approaching the map on the beach as the man speaks.
"Wow, I was so frightened! I thought you were a pirate at first, the way you saved me in an unorthodox way, but even if you are a Pirate, I'm grateful to you. My name is Steve Bonnet, and you?", He asked, slightly gaping at the large bag that is on my back. I was struggling slightly, but I knew I could pull it over through the water. I had made a total of 15k Reals, again, not counting the precious treasures aside from the gold.
"Well, Mr. Bonnet, How about we make it onto that ship of yours first, before we talk. I will say, that I was a Privateer, not a Pirate. At least, I wasn't until now. I might as well go it this way until I find a better calling.", I say, not knowing where the information came from, but it felt like a giant problem was taken off of my shoulders.
"Well, I say! Yes, yes let's get to my ship. A Beauty isn't she? I built her from scratch, that I did!", Steve was a very eccentric man, that served to amuse me pretty well. If only there was someone like him in the Present times.
"That she is, Mr. Bonnet. That she is.", I smile, as we swim to his ship, me not being weighed down in the water by my bag. I knew that this would be an epic start to my new adventures. I'm kinda glad I was contacted by Abstergo, though I had a bad feeling about them for some reason.
