Chapter 4 - the gift

Seph said, "Lady Fiona, did your friends give you a gift?" He didn't remember her talking about them before so, he was curious.

She said, "Yes, my friends are experts in different fields. One is a genius at making tech and the like. She made me an item that let me see your stats, equipment, map, task and skill progression.(cough cough, status screen/menu cough cough) The others gave me advice on how to help you guys better."

Seph said, "My lady, if I may ask, what did your friends give you this time?" He was curious since, she hadn't mentioned them before. He didn't even hear about this tech before.

She said, "It let's me see my own stats...which, seeing as how low they are...a horned rabbit could beat me in a fight. It also shows my skills, equipment and even a tab where I can check on the status and location of you guys...and if what this says is true, I can call my friends."

She looked like she was fiddling with something before a screen popped up to where he could see it. It had her stats which, weren't exactly pretty.

Name: Fiona Lyonhart(Your name duh)

Age: 28

Gender:Female(Unless you feel gender fluid)

Atk: 3(average is 5; You weak chicken)

Def: 4(average is 5; I feel sorry for you)

Int: 7(Your a smart cookie)

Mag:6(decent in magic)

luk:6(luckier than your average joe)

She muttered, "Lucca and her stupid comments...When I call Kyra, I will have her smack you...gender fluid my butt." She moved to the skill tab and showed a total of five skills.

Skills:

Linguistics: level 1/10 (A/n:Languages of the blue star/Earth don't count)

Mathematics: 7/10(business math baby)

Cooking:6/10(You are better than average)

art:7/10(da Vinci bound)

Kryptology:5/10(half way to master Spy level)

Fiona gave a bit of a wry smile as she saw Seph reading it. He said, "My Lady, you seem to be better at arts and business than fighting." He carefully read what it said and thought, 'I should think about making a loyal and powerful gaurd for her when I am busy with strengthening the territory.'

He watched her fiddle with the screen and saw a shop, warehouse and item creation function. She muttered, "At least, I can still make things and she added things from other worlds(game worlds) that I collect...ed." Her eyes locked onto three guns she had enjoyed playing with. One being the BFG and the other being the Brute shot and the N.C.I.W(a machine gun with a grenade launcher atachment). She looked closely at the weapons, items and vehicles from the Halo, Red Faction, Elder Scrolls, Doom, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy and Destiny series only to name a few. She tried to bring the BFG out(cause who wouldn't like a weapon that could destroy a car sized monster in one hit) but, was given a notification that denied access because the tech of the world is too low. She said, "Of course it is."

She moved to place a necklace that her Kahjit had made in Skyrim on the creation screen and was looking for a couple options to add to it. She finally found a draconic rune for translate and even placed a blue glowing crystal next to it to add the enchant before taking it out and said, "This should work as a translator but, I don't know how well it will work." She saw on the skill tab a new skill was generated as enchant 1/100.

Seph was thinking about some things and said, "I think I can provide a test subject. Tristan come in here."

Tristan came in and said, "You called for me sir?" He looked at the two sitting on the bed and a silver necklace with a garnet on it. It had a light blue shimmer as it showed that it was enchanted.

Seph said, "Lady Fiona just enchanted this necklace with a rune that can translate speech. She was wanting to give it to you." Seph took the necklace and threw it to Tristan.

Fiona glanced at Seph and thought, 'I don't remember him having a silver tongue...did he get that from Hyorinmaru or Kuro?'

Tristan put it on and said, "So, this is supposed to translate what we say and hear?"

Fiona said absent-mindedly, "That's what the Draconic runes that I inscribed are supposed to do. The Dao can be different from place to place so, I'm not sure if there's any restrictions on stuff like the Thu'um or any items or equipment that I have."

Tristan looked at her, "Thu'um...Dao, what's that? Wait, I can understand you?" his eyes widened as he wasn't expecting or understanding the actual context of what she just said.

Seph said, "Lady Fiona, can you use simpler terms or explain it more clearly to us? I know you have traveled to other pantheons and countries but, we don't have the same knowledge as you."

Fiona said, "Right, I keep forgetting that you guys are in a more...primitive world. Uh, no offense but, where I'm from has better technology and a more developed culture than here...or at least, from what I have seen so far."

She saw Tristan was confused and explained, "So...I guess, I can be considered as Seph and his comrades Gaurdian Angel when I wasn't traveling through different worlds(testing games for work/being forced to watch anime/movies by Lucca) for my job; I was watching over them."

Seph said piously, "You are more than an angel to us. You guided and cared for us more than anyone we've met." He bowed his head with his right hand on his chest to show his respect.

Fiona smiled and gently put a hand on his shoulder garnering his attention, "and through the time we've been together, I have considered you guys as my own. So, you can treat me like kin."

Seph's eyes brightened at her words and Tristan said, "Are you saying, you aren't from this world...that your an Angel?" He was skeptical about what she said and had thought that she may've been crazy.

Seph narrowed his eyes and was about to admonish him before Fiona spoke, "Yes on the first part but, after an accident when coming here...I am mortal probably worse than some peasants in some regards." She moved to the shop cue and moved to buy an Ale81 which, appeared in her hand.
